Should I let Cura do the driving to print at 0.8 and others?

I love the idea of cutting my 24 14-hour prints in half! But my first try with 0.8 seemed to give me trouble, it looked like underextrusion....or something. I guess I need to good test piece that doesn't take long.

I'm a bit unsure about the shell settings and infill. My BB-8 parts, printed at 0.4, call for ...

6 shells, 6 top and 6 bottom
0.2 to .25mm layer
50% infill

To fit the build plate, I am not using brim, just 2-3 skirt lines to get the print head good and primed

Anders suggested adjusting the fan setting. I'm not sure if that should vary with the bigger nozzle?

With my UM2 and the old (15.04.xx) Cura, the switch from 0.4 to 0.8 nozzle is really just setting the new nozzle size in Cura and writing the g-code to the SD. I never had to tweak any settings there. Not sure if it is still the same with the new 2.x Cura versions as they seemed to have changed a few defaults there - see Anders post about the part cooling fan starting at 0.3 instead of 2.0mm.
