Hi all,

has anybody of you used the eSUN Cleaning Filament? I have gotten some but have no idea how to use it really in the UM2.

I've always been warned away from anything that claims to be a cleaning filament and just do Atomics.

If it's like some of the other "cleaning filaments" you just run it through the hot end at temperature either manually or driving the feeder, or you do the atomic pull.
It tends to collect any contamination and take it out.
I have done the same by atomic pulls with Nylon which works fine too, I couldn't say I found an advantage using cleaning Filaments over Nylon or normal white PLaa.

When driving it trough, do you just put a piece in the bowden and then push with a regular filament? Or do you need to fuse it to some filament and then enter it normally through the feeder?

I just pull the Bowden tube out of the print head end, I then insert a short length of Bowden tube ( about 70mm) so that I can just push the filament through to do the atomic pull.
