So on the Ultimaker 2, how do you make a profile for new materials? Like nGen?

Any pro tips on less "hair" or fine stringing?

I mean it's super easy to remove but I notice it gets into the nozzle. I've been picking it away with tweezers while the print continues

I may go to down 5C (225) and see how that goes after the first few layers are on at 230

So I went down to 225 and saw a bit less "hairs" but they were still there.

If your still getting hairs you may then need to tweek the retractions or just go with it and remove them in post printing.
I had it on one print no hairs, the next print minutes later exactly same settings and stringing,

Guys, what about waxing?? :-)

ok, seriously - I read somewhere that a hot air gun might be helpfull to remove those hairs. Don´t know if it also works at ngen, but worth trying... maybe...

Oh crap.

I had another 15 hour print underway in the basement and wanted to see if I could reduce the "hairy" prints by lowering the temp to 223. After 2 hours, no change. Still a bit hairy.

I decided to go back to the original temp of 230 and...well....I walked away

I must have killed the adhesion because I discovered a big spaghetti explosion. Ouch!

Yellowshark suggested an enclosure, higher temps and some travel increases. He also suggested an enclosure to do this.

Since the basement is a bit cooler than the rest of the house, that might be a wise upgrade

Well I found that retraction distance of 5 mm removed all the hairs!

I had a weird first layer today. Maybe the glass needs a thorough cleaning?

Looks a tad dirty, what adhesion are you using?
And what camera are you using?

Tidal waves on first layer usually means that your. Ozzle is slightly tiny bit too close to the bed.
