Just curious about the electronics... Any infos / specs on the control board?
2 boards. Um2 board with some heavy changes on electronics to fine tune it, new resistor on feeders to remove a stepper weird effect called zebra lines or alike, a new brain with linux totally in control of the board with ssh access to the firmware. Now the brain is called 'griffin' and is written in python running on a a20something board totally opensource stuff.

I was able to brick it the 4 day and unbrick 2 days latter using a cable to debug the new brain (I did some nasty linux editing to brick it XD). Also now you can actually make Scripts! that run on python to control the machine.

It uses this board + some ultimaker electronics for NFC chip reading and screen display

So, it looks like Debian-like on a board. With Sata, HDMI and USB-hub it possible to turn new UM3 to workstation with embedded Cura ;-)

AAAAaahhhhhhhhh... want one... NOW... but my boss says no... :-(
Damn... please, can somebody help me to convince my wife that I need one...?? :-)

It looks really great and very professional. Curiouse to see the print head in detail - maybe there is some way to redesign it for the UM2 or even UMO...

@ nallath, maybe you could also give some info on the PVA material. Is it something special? Are the settings applicable/available for UM2 or UMO too?
Would be really nice to get a deeper insight...

I did check just cou use and while printing it stays at 10-15% tops. And that's using the webcam that's streaming mpeg. I think it has quite some room to play with it.
Also I plugged a hdmi tv I had around and it shows the boot info. I didn't plug a keyboard etc but I did debug connect with a serial cable (12€) that's for this. Oards and I did had full control over everything (after inserting the ssh password)

15 percent is not enough. Need to look carefully at the specific build of Debian and Pyton scripts, it is possible (and likely) there will be a way for optimization. When half of the available resources we can think about embedded solution

Or wait, have I misunderstood, and system load when printing ONLY in the region of 15%,

Thats great news! We can install XFCE and Cura, and try to slice stl's directly to USB card!

What are they doing to prevent oozing?
- Retraction?
- Head cooling?
- Something else?

They don't have cleaning/priming tower or area, so flow must be very well under control to achieve this result.

I think is mix of small board with much more accurate temperature sensor, thin fins of the hotend and more powerful central fan.

I can explain it in detail tomorrow but is a mix of core design + very well crafted hotzone + lifting. At 195C it just doesn't even need prime tower. At 205C playing with retraction you can avoid it but a prime tower fixes that. Also it has very intelligent 'cura' heat/cold planning.
