Let's speculate...

...since it is a quiet summer day...

When do you think we'll see the next version of the Ultimaker?
Will it have a bigger build volume?
Other features?

I'm hoping something larger in volume

My projects I'd like to print need bigger volume (wider and taller than Extended)

It's quite expensive to go wider than just going taller, so both probably will cost quite a bit of money.

I was wondering about a wider print area, I had a job on my hub that would have required the component being printed at a vertical and plain diagonal, which more than doubled the material due to supports.
At my wife's surgestion I looked for a printer with a larger print area, but when I looked at ones below £800 I didn't find one, although they are physically larger than the UM there print volume is smaller.
So perhaps a UM2 Wide, with a 450x225 print bed.
Oh and a laser cutter attachment.

Well I know a few friends have bought, or have on order, the Raise3D N2 Plus

12 x 12 x 24 (inches)
304.8 x 304.8 x 609.6 (mm)

1 week.

And it will have the geared feeder of the UM2+, rather more than one of them. Bundled with Cura2.2.

This seems obvious but it's most probably not true. If Ultimaker follows its style for announcements, we will get a picture of the new device in the almost dark first. So we will not see it when it is (going to be) released... ;-)
