Thank you!
I found there a note - do you think this is relevant?
"Components rapidly exposed to temperatures above 400°F (205°C) should be "dried" prior to use or kept dry to avoid deformation from thermal shock."

Hi !
I saw this note, I think it concerns cases of storage or use in extremely wet condition, which is not our .

Yes it's very very expensive
as I said 12.7mm rod would be sufficient & less expensive,
if you really want test, purchase it ! I'll redeem you the rest ;-)
@ Gudo,
Sorry, overlooked your post/offer. Yes, would be a possibility, but currently I´m looking for somebody who is able to machine it...
Currently I redesign my idea to make it easier to manufacture.
Might there be a possibility that you assist at this point??

Now when the UM3 is official, maybe gudo understands why I asked him if he had been visiting the Ultimaker R&D :-)

First this one:
gudo wrote: It is a outstanding project for optimize and rigidify better the overhang of the bed tray, with fine adjustable level rods, it's not yet completed. ;-)

Which is essentially what the more rigid bed of the UM3 does.

And then these things, both the radial fans, the fan cap and the way it opens.

Hi to all
Anders ! I understand now why you asked me
It seems I was in the same R&D spirit :-D , there is an another thing I thought as to put a connector on the PT100/heater cartridge line just on the back of the XY carrier, so no need to remove the both from the Olsson block, just to unplug if wanted to remove the hot end set ;-), I had not taken time to do that !
Not so far of the UM3 core removing

:-) I hope that you'll get some credits... ;-)

I´m currently thinking how to change the UMO head design completely... so also my PBI parts design might change...
Gudo, do you think that the stainless steel/PTFE parts of the core could be made of PBI too? I have not ordered up to now but this might be a possibility to get down with the costs...

AAAhhhh... all this ideas...

b.t.w.: I completely forget to ask - where are you located, gudo?

Hi Drayson !
With the few I seen here about the core, the hot end assembly is very similar to the known metal hot ends on market,
the PBI is a very effective heat insulator and ist's strong enough to make," I think", in 1 small diameter part for replacing the few core stainless steel/PTFE parts, the core heat block can be screwed directely on it.
To confirm when more details will be accessible :?:
(Btw : I'm located in the West of Paris, 30Km after the Versailles castle)

:-) Right, to be confirmed hopefully soon... but that´s the direction I'm currently thinking... with a few parts printed/changed it might be possible...
