Re: My prints lean forward!
Well no more leaning
But wow. So many blobs
235c with low fan and 45 mm/sec
nGen filament. Yikes. Looks awful

Re: Testing for the new shroud?
Ok, I forgot you were on vacation Amedee, one thing I did tonight...(asides addressing the pulleys in another thread)... I'm a little confused on the fans and not sure it's Cura or firmware. Fan Speed Min (%) is set to 2 (Fan speed equals 5.1) Fan Speed Max (%) is set to 20 (Fan speed equals 51) (I ...

Re: My prints lean forward!
I've used an allen wrench to tighten every Y axis pulley. They all took some tightening but none were obviously loose.
I also tightened the belt again
Doing a test print now

Re: My prints lean forward!
Well replaced the motor pulley with a 2-set-screw version
Maybe the other pulley, attached to the rod, needs a major twisting

Re: Testing for the new shroud?
Right now the fans are working well thanks to Amedee's expert help with the firmware. I haven't seen Neotko chime in at all, who asked me to do those initial steps. Apparently he has abandoned me
Perhaps I need a new thread for the leaning issue, so that we can address the separate problems

Re: Testing for the new shroud?
Will check pulley belt tightness on that axis (again) Will also check that video and the squaring process. I just want to print and not debug the printer constantly! :) I need to send this to someone whose more into tinkering than I am. My part time job just starting giving me hours again, so the sa...

Re: Testing for the new shroud?
Ah so I need to sort out the algebra so fan speed 30 gives me a proper percentage to enter

Re: Testing for the new shroud?
Thanks for more feedback I think 30 is plenty high given the power of the fans. I'm trying to sort out the math. What values should I put in the Cura and fan speeds? The axis squaring is pretty impossible given when things seem square you can't reach the set screws i seem stuck in a loop of unresolv...

Re: Testing for the new shroud?
Trying to do as much as I can late tonight so you will see it in the morning (your time) 6. In Cura (Advanced properties in Cura Legacy), set the Max Fan to reflect the maximum speed we want. I might be different with the 'slow PWM', but based on the video, it does not look to me that we get much mo...

Re: Testing for the new shroud?
More results... 3. Find the lowest value your fans are still running once started. It is important as your fans are going hard at low PWM, we want to use the full range. So you go to let's say 10 to get them running -- you might expect different values from your tests in the video, since 'Slow PWM' ...

Re: Testing for the new shroud?
Print result (note left side artifact)
Better view. Not sure if that's an nGen setting or what. But nice to see it's an OK print despite fans not being on.
(Left side view shows artifact on both ends)

Re: Testing for the new shroud?
Okay did Step 2
New Firmware with Slow PWM
Cura fan settings are as follows
Expected to hear fans come on....did not
I decided to continue to print without fans (to see how the new pulley is working to combat the Y axis leaning prints)
