Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
Just another fun day at my house with a new addition.... droids.jpg ...a friend one of these Target department store display BB-8's. No, not to the exact specs of the real thing but still really neat. She adores this little fella and asked if I could open it up and improve the noisy motor that moves...

Re: Nozzle Temperature
That's very informative. I wonder if there is a better way to get an accurate temperature from the machine itself? Or just adjust knowing the +/- of what is being read?
I mean, perhaps there's a difference between sensors too?

These are all valid points. And I was giving the user the benefit of a doubt...maybe he is just spamming as many 3D printing forums as they can? Or...perhaps they want to engage in a conversation?

Re: Super hard nozzles - Test pilots
Here is the first print finished -- don't look too much at it: I needed a shorter fan shroud for the shorter nozzle, so I took the 'official Ultimaker' one that I compressed, it is printed without support and without fan which is not ideal for that part -- even more when 'compressed'. Just happy it...

Well the one on the right has a much tighter skirt (I know, you removed it and placed it there to compare!)

The prototype uses a 200 lb force actuator to lower and raise the center leg using a scissor lift style mechanism. On the Pro side, it has high static loads and ver...
