Cheers Neotko, I'll add that detail to my little white book
Can see how if a few partials clash then they would block the nozzle, I agree it would probably be better to just use .5 or .6 nozzle or larger.

Re: Fast Microscope to debug a clog
Are you trying to show that the clog was caused by the size of the 'glitter' particles in Faberdashery's Glaxay Blue? If so do Faberdashery have a specification for the partial size? So we know it can't be used on a very small nozzle size, I've printed test prints with Galaxy Blue and not had a prob...

Re: 3D printing community rallies against eBay store
I allow users to print off for non commercial use, but if somebody wants to print of several and sell them then that becomes commercial, like wise if from 3D hubs I am approached to print an object I will try to find the origional source and check the licence, if they want several then I won't accep...

Re: What is your PLA benchmark material?
I've been doing a little bit of materials testing with various PLA and other materials available here in the UK, using 2.85mm print head, I print the standard UM robot, the cylinder volume flow test and a temperature range test, then correlate the results on an XL spread sheet. My two favourite prod...

Re: Super hard nozzles - Test pilots
Cheers Neotko, I run a UM2 and like your photos I was not satisfied with some of my top layers with what looked like under extrusion, I spent a little time printing a flat sheet and just playing with the extrusion percentage, and came to the conclusion that increasing it to approx 115% gave me good ...

Lol, do we have an idiots guide to the various icons that are used? I'm trying to understand what some of them refer to and the changes.

Re: What's the magic temperature for the heated bed?
I rarely use glue stick any more when printing with PLA, I use a good quality hair spray. It gives a very thin layer that the PLA adheres to, you just have to make sure that you have a big enough base layer or add brim to help. It also doesn't cause as much mess on the glass plate, and every 40 or s...

Re: Super hard nozzles - Test pilots
Looks a beautiful nozzle, unfortunately I haven't had a need to use carbon fibre filaments other than an initial test of ColorFabb's XT-CF20. I do want to test some other manufactures filaments with carbon etc but won't have time for a couple of months until I finish my OU assignments. If your still...

Re: Temperature analysis of PVA and Bridge Nylon
That was interesting, I think I am going to look at recalibration get the temperature for PLAs, I think I'm between 190 and 205 for the ColorFabb and Faberdashery ones I have.
My roll of UM Blue PLA has gone terminal towards the end, I now have lots of short lengths.
