Re: Revive a spool of brittle PLA - is it possible?
Water absorption is unlikely since I also have a fairly dry climate here and the spool was stored most of the time in a sealed bag with drying bags. We have a food dryer. I need to check if that one has a fairly stable temperature regulation and could be used. I think that would be a more efficient ...

Revive a spool of brittle PLA - is it possible?
Hi all,
I have a nearly full spool of black PLA that is extremely brittle and snaps at the slightest touch. Is it possible to revive the material somehow? Or do I have to dump the full spool?

Re: How to setup the Octoprint Plugin for Cura!
I am tempted to give Octoprint another try after all the promotion that you do for it :-) The first time I tried it, it seemed not very useful as I start my prints from SD and OctoPrint couldn't handle that - I do not know if it was the ulti-gcode or the fact that the print was not started by Octopr...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
For an upcoming motion detector based LED strip project I needed a way to enable/disable the whole solution so that it is only active during the night. So I fired up Fusion 360 and came up with this nice little case: 2018-05-31 11.21.00.jpg It contains a Sonoff Basic with the Tasmota firmware for sw...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
Agree! Maker and Education is what they have been good at and should concentrate on. But as long as people buy the UM3 and now the UM5 as "industrial grade" for "industrial grade prices"... why not take their money

Prints don't start after Tinkergnome Firmware Update
I upgraded my UM2 with Dual Extruders today from Tinkergnome firmware version 16.09 to 17.10.1 using the Tinker-MarlinUltimaker2-dual-17.10.1.hex file. Now I have the strange behavior that when I start a print, the printer heats up the buildplate and nozzle and then just sits there at "Heating ...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
Did anybody here convert an UM2 to 1.75mm? If so, maybe have a look at viewtopic.php?f=9&t=934. Maybe you can help me.

Which bowden and collet/retainer for UM2 1.75mm conversion?
Hi all, I would like to finally finish installing a 1.75mm extruder as a second extruder on my UM2. I have already installed the feeder motor, a mirrored version of the IRobertI feeder and a 1.75mm hotend. The only thing I am missing is the bowden from the feeder to the printhead. I think that a num...
