Re: What materials will PVA support work with?

You mean Polymaker Polysupport, not Polymax, right? (polymax is their impact modified PLA)

Re: Tom's E3D V6 hot end replacement for the Ultimaker 2 clip

The feeder is probably about on par with the 2+ feeder, and re the hotend i would prefer the Olsson block any day over the V6, swapping nozzles is horrible to do when you have to hold the block steady with one tool to not damage the heat break and remove the nozzle with a tool in the other hand whil...

Re: Form 2 review

I do have access to the Form2, i am one of the few people doing training sessions for it in the Scandinavia and i have been using it since it was first released, and yes, it is a amazing printer for high-detail prints :-) I rarely use it for my own projects tough, i do not do that many things that n...

Re: Another feeder jam wrecks a print

I don't get how you can have this many problems, you have already had more problems than I have ever experienced with the UM2+, and I have 2 myself and run a bunch more at work for in total thousands of hours. I have never used a filament guide and use the standard spool holder...

Re: Crappppp Ultimaker 2+ feeder

The filament guide of the UM2... never used it, if you ask me it just adds friction because of the very weird angle it adds to the filament path, i just print directly from the spool and never have any problems with that.

Re: Best glowing filament?

I have tested both the Glowfill and the "Glow in the dark", and the Glowfill really is the better one, it glows for longer time and it is brighter and also has a more pleasant color of the printed parts if you ask me :-) The Glow in the dark is just our (as in 3DVerkstan) remaining stock s...

Re: Parts needed to refurbish a UM2 print head

Not necessarily, we have done a upgrade with the UM2 head on a UMO with the original electronics. You need to supply the electronics board with 24V, change out the linear regulator that supplies 12V to the arduino to a switched type that can take the higher voltage without getting too hot, and add a...

Re: Crappppp Ultimaker 2+ feeder

I use the standard spool holder most of the time, and always feed directly from the spool, never any problems like that with my 2+ machines.

Re: Anyone purchase the Advanced 3D printing kit?

Been testing some of the stickers and IMO they suck big time. Not because they don't stick I'm sure they do, but for me I want perfect flat no scratch/defects surface, and unless you are a PROfesional vinyl placer (and I did some work on that for a few long ago) it's a big pain to fully place it on...

Re: Teaser for the New Ultimaker....here we go!

Thanks!! So this would be great to have a sectional view for comparison - especially to check if there are some nozzels already available to be used o a UM2 or UMO with a second head... From what i have seen, and if i remember right, the BB cartridge is a pretty similar profile to the Olsson Nozzle...

Re: Teaser for the New Ultimaker....here we go!

The difference of the AA and BB is the internal nozzle geometry, from what i have heard the AA one reduces oozing and is better for most materials, but used with PVA it would not be reliable because of tendency of PVA to carbonize and clog, while the BB are a "smoother" path wich does ooze...

Re: Teaser for the New Ultimaker....here we go!

It is the same feeder as on the UM2+, just that there is also a mirrored version of it now.
