Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
I moved my printer to my dorm room a while back, finally had some time to set it up today. One of the belts was slacking but luckily it was easily fixed by loosening and re-tightening one of the pulleys.

I'm not sure what you mean by micro's, but you can use
M106 S0
or
M107
to turn off the fan (depends on the firmware).

Re: Changing Layer Height is a Single Print
This feature exists in simplify3d, off the top of my head I think it's called sparse infill. You set the layer height, and then the infill will be printed say every 3 layers or so, at 3 times the layer height. You can choose how much this should be of course.

You can edit .stl's directly using MeshMixer, but it's more of a sculpting tool than e.g. fusion's parametric design. If you only need to change the looks Meshmixer can do the job but if you require some exact measurements then you're probably better off making them yourself.

Re: Slicer behavior in solid objects
I've been surprised by that before too. Apparently S3D treats infill differently even if you set it to 100%. Sometimes it seems weird. On the other hand, you can print solid objects where the infill has higher layer height than the perimeters. Might have be useful in some cases.

Re: Slicer behavior in solid objects
I think it has something to do with top/bottom solid layers. If you set them to 0 but use 100% infill that should do the trick I think.
