Re: Upgrade kit available
Could it be that it is the same sh...y fans, but they do not make as much noise anymore as they are not running in an odd angle to their axle/bearing anymore? If I recall correct, the cheaper bearings have preferred directions and more or less destroy themselves soon if you run them not in this dire...

Re: Upgrade kit available
Strange, didn't they say that they included "improved" fans? Or have they used these improved fans maybe already for quite a while on the standard UM2s?

Re: Upgrade kit available
I would be interested in specifications of the new fans and the new stepper motor. Are the details readable on the parts or have they relabled them like they did with the UM2 fans?

Re: Daily routine of logging in again...
I use Firefox on my laptop and Opera on my Android mobile phone. In both setups I have not yet seen this behavior.

Re: Daily routine of logging in again...
My laptop traveled with me through 4 different countries in the last 6 weeks and I have not seen such a behavior yet. Do you have any clear cache on exit or similar setting in your browser?

Re: Adding a Raspberry Pi to my UM2
I thought about having a hood for it but got a little bit worried about the heat distribution - especially with a printed cover. So for the beginning I think I will go without a cover. I would however mount the RPI 180° turned on the base plate and turn the base plate itself also by 180° next time. ...

Re: Um2 hotend design questions
Not sure what you did with that poor UM2 hotend in the apparently short time that you had it... :-) Mine has printed well over 1000 hrs without ever having something come out where it shouldn't. Sometimes nothing came out, but that was usually a worn out PTFE. I never had any leakages. The spring is...

Adding a Raspberry Pi to my UM2
To get a good - and visually appealing - mounting option for a Raspberry Pi, I created a small mounting plate that can be screwed to two existing holes in the bottom plate of my UM2. The Raspberry Pi is powered via a USV board directly from the 24V input of the UM2 and is switched on with the printe...

Re: UM2 Mainboard PCB and Schematic
Oh, I must have missed this old version... I was only looking in the 1546 ultimainboard V2.1.4 folder. The old version is fine for what I need. Thanks!

UM2 Mainboard PCB and Schematic
I am trying to look something up in the schematic and PCB layout of the UM2 mainboard. The files in the UM GIT repository seem to be from Altium Designer - which I do not have access to. Does anybody here have them in PDF or Eagle format?

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
What a neat idea to cover the area with (capton?) tape. That way the tiny neighboring SMDs can't escape. I really have to remember that one. Did you use a reflow hot air gun for this?Neotko wrote:So I prep the operation room
