I have a dehydrator (DIY beef jerky!). You should be able to use those to dry the silica.

Pretty sure you can jury rig something with a hair dryer as well.

Nope. Closed beta should be released very soon. We learned from the past and hired two fulltime test engineers to ensure that we hammer out as much bugs before actually shipping something. Lasers scare me. As they should. If I mess up some electronics / software, it might ruin a bit of hardware. One mistake with a laser can cost you permanent eye damage.

If they would make layers non flat (eg; add a bit of jitter in the z direction) they would already have dramatically stronger prints.

Peek gives a lot of nasty fumes. You will need to print with very good ventilation.
