I have flashed most versions of Marlin 1.x.x thru Marlin 2.0.9.2 had a minor problems using Marlin 2.0.9.3 so reverted to 2.0.9.2 on my Hictops.

I have been using 4 Bearing on all three of my Hictop Printers with no problems, wonder why you are having problems? Would like to see your upgraded Base plate, please post more information. I Have firmware changes for BL Touch though it has never been tested would like to see your firmware changes....

Well that is strange, when use the script pause at height stops until I press a key to continue.
I wonder if enabling the code below changed the way my pause works.

I have always used a simple pause at height using Cura works in all versions.
Have also used a pause at layer height in Prusa slicer it works just as well.

I enable baby stepping for just this reason.
When selecting a model to print baby steps allows me to move the nozzle into place while the skirt is printing.
The newer version of marlin have a feature called Z-Probe offset wizard this allow the offset to be fine tuned quickly before printing.

Not too bad learned how to use Design Spark Mechanical Program in a few hours.
Learned how to export the STL files no more problem.
May be slow but there is nothing I cannot self teach myself.
