Re: Cura 2.6 Beta!

Re: Cura 2.6 Beta!

There is nothing to worry about. We've managed to get Cura whitelisted for a number of virus scanners.

As usual; Let us know what you feel / think / break. Can't make any promises that we will fix it, but we will take them into consideration!

I haven't had time to deepdive into the code yet (copious spare time and all). :P
FieldOfView is working on that. Not sure when it will be done though.

Re: Printing in Dual colors....

It pretty much works the same as infill meshes. So the intersection of a dual mesh with the to be printed object can be printed with a different extruder.

The beta will be soonish (few weeks max)

Re: Printing in Dual colors....

Cura 2.6 will also have a feature to convert any model into a dual color model.

You don't need OBJ files for dual extrusion.

Re: First impressions

The startup speed should be faster in the current or next release. Can't remember which release it was, but I saw that at a recent demo of the firmware team.

Re: Cura 2.5. Why so messy?

AlephObjects are working on it. I've also seen FieldOfView working on it, so there is a good chance that it's going to be in there at some point in time.

Re: Cura 2.5. Why so messy?

It's high up the list (in the same ballpark as variable layer height). But as always; amount of work > amount of people to do the work. We're also making small steps to make it easier to install & distribute plugins. We're getting more and more people that want to hook into Cura, so we also need...
