Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

In the German lesson where they said "geschenk", they immediately noticed not to use the English word "gift" as it has absolutely different meaning in German. :-) Languages are funny stuff. The more you know, the funnier they are.

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

Dutch and Deutsch are the same word that got pronounced differently over the time. No wonder they are so similar. If you would listen to old English (from "History of English" fantastic podcast), you will see how much it is similar to German, too. From my experience in Europe, the bigger t...

Ja, natürlich!
German is the most spoken language on the continent, as I read it somewhere. Some practice never hurts, you know.

Heh, everything is relative, mate. :-P
BTW, are there any other activities out there in Berlin, in late November? I will be there then.

The flow doesn't seem to be consistent. Overextrusion perhaps?

Oh, come on...
It's just Robert's feeder latch after about 1.5 years of use. It was not obvious to spot it, so it gave me the due headache. 8-)

And I was wondering why all the sudden there are random non-consistent underextrusions...

Re: Ultimaker Software News, Cura 3, Cura Connect etc.

I still use v15.04.06 for 99% of the prints. The new Cura 2.* just reminds me too much the "new" UM forum - poshy, shiny and useless. Probably made by the same UI bugmakers.
Sorry, @nallath, just couldn't hold myself.

Re: Suddenly getting hairy stringy prints

Beside the obvious temperature and retraction things, could it be that the nozzle is worn out? Once, I replaced nozzle to a new one and wow! That made a piece of the difference. Even though it only printed 80% PLA and the rest were ABS and PETG, in one year of medium usage any nozzle needs replaceme...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

Tried it, gave me an exception and crashed Cura. But well, that why it is called Beta, right?
Anyway, thanks for the information, will wait for the final release. Maybe, it will be finally the day when I will move to the new Cura from v15.04.6 that is currently in use.

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

Use the neosanding / ironing feature. Ah, you did find the time to implement this rather complex feature (tried it, nice), but would you also be so kind to add "shrink 1st layer" option, in order to eliminate sharp edges of the 1st layer? These bulges that normally ruin the dimension accu...

Did you have a look at Formfutura's TitanX filament? I am becoming a big fan of it, apparently. Maybe, it will be suitable for your needs, too.
