Re: Anyone use Polycarbonate (PC) or PETG?
Ultimaker PC prints at 260°C; w/o fans. And it gives excellent results. Toughness, interlayer adhesion and even print finish are quite amazing. I printed it even without brim just on the glass (at 113°C, max. of my UM2) with a film of PVA slurry on it.

Re: Adjustable belt tension UM2 sliding blocks
If your belts are loosing tension, just unfix one pulley, move the axis about three times in each direction and re-tighten the pulley. Tension should be ok again then. If your belts are worn out that the internal spring cannot compensate anymore they should be replaced.

Re: Cura 2.3.1
Easiest way to stop Cura from slicing is to set line width to 0. Then do your settings and transformation and reset line width.

Re: Ultimaker Brand PLA
The silver Ultimaker PLA bundled with the printer is a POC...it snaps soo easily. I was using it to get familiar with the printer and thought it was good enough for this. But man, it's soo brittle :( I have more than half a roll left...but it's not going back near the printer again. That's maybe ol...

Hey Anders, how did your finger nails look after that UM2Ext print?
The contact surface is not very large compared to the height and size of that print...

As far as I know the forum is bombarded with a lot of spam recently... that may slow it down.

Noise of the z stage can be reduced by changing the 8/16 jumper on the Ultiboard 2.1 and adapting the firmware to the new number of steps per mm.

Re: Crappppp Ultimaker 2+ feeder
Yes, levelling can be fine but if only one of those screws is protruding a bit this could result in a 'cold' spot on the glass. And then goes the adhesion. This was quite often an issue with the earlier UM2s.

Re: Crappppp Ultimaker 2+ feeder
LePaul, Have you checked if all scres the bed pcb is mounted on the platform with are completely sunk into the pcb? As it is a refurbished UM2+ one has to check for UM2 problems as well.
