Re: 3.2 Beta is out!

So, the print I ran yesterday from 3.0.4 with lots of support worked ok (supports came off, but I had a lot of lines to file away), so I reprinted with 3.2 using only tree supports. Much better. The supports peeled off with little effort. I'm still having issues with the bottom layers of this partic...

Re: Check out this SLA printer that uses Cura!

I'm debating getting an SLA to muck with (yea, it's bonus time again). My 3DP-17 is good for miniatures, but not larger prints due to bed level/adhesion issues (even with a new bed, autolevel, and very fine tuning). THe CR-10S is great for larger prints, but I am having issues with detail, especiall...

Re: 3.2 Beta is out!

Ok, got the plugin working now, but I won't be able to try anything today. Long print running, and I have to go to the data center to setup a few new servers. Never a dull moment in my life lately.

Re: 3.2 Beta is out!

3.2 Beta is currently a big failure for me. First, I figured out how to get settings from earlier versions properly ported for Linux. Launch 3.2, then close it. Go into ~/.local/share/cura/3.2/3.0 (3.0 was the last version to properly port custom PLA and printer settings), delete any older version d...

Just saw the info on the lerdge.com site. Yea, skip this one. Even the reprap.org forums are keeping their distance.

Re: Please rank these printers

The question is if the board supports Marlin or not. I think the original Creality CR-10 firmware was also proprietary, but developers have successfully hacked it to run Marlin. The Hictop version is open enough to push Marlin directly without using another arduino or RPI to reprogram the bootloader.

Skirt or brim, make sure you have at least 2-3 lines width. I find 3 works best.

Re: 3.2 Beta is out!

As with 3.1, it doesn't transfer all of my settings. Really do not want to have to reconfigure my printers each time I upgrade. There is nothing to change. I'll have to deep dive into my configs to figure out why it only transfers 1 printer (little-hicci) and still fails to change the color of one f...

Re: Jittering

Never had a problem with mine, but I bought it from Hictop (through Amazon). I have since heard that they replaced the stock board from Creality, but I haven't opened my control unit to verify.

Re: 3dp17 wiring prolem

Must be a more recent build of that model. I have the same printer, bought a year ago on Amazon, didn't have that issue. For the most part, mine is still stock, although I did move the display to the front instead of on top. I replaced the control board with a newer model (which now disables the dis...

Re: 3.2 Beta is out!

It still bombs out at the same point - changing the color for my Aqua Blue Glow filament to a light blue color. No idea why. Other filaments can accept that color. Very weird.

And yes, I have a bug filed on this since 2.6.

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

Just started the 5th batch of custom brackets for work (they bought me 2 spools of Hatchbox Black PLA so why not). Other than that, spent the weekend cleaning house and watching the NFL championships. Eagles vs Patriots, could be interesting.
