Re: 2nd Post - Understanding Supports in Cura
In 3D Printing you have basic settings Overhang angle, Fill percentage, distance X/Y, distance Z These numbers should come close to those listed below, even the Factory setting do a good job. Under Support definitions Overhang Angle 50-90 degrees : on my 3D Printers depending on Model, you may more ...

Re: 2004 LCD ( REPRAP_DISCOUNT_SMART_CONTROLLER )
Ok! Swapped the 2004 LCD discount smart Controller and of course the Problem followed. I know that upgrading to the 12864 Display LCD 3D Printer Control Panels will mean I have to Print new Cases. It means to keep same display location need to design a similar case for front support frame of the 3D ...

I Could for a simple test, Though did not think about that because I have different color cases.
I though about getting a pair of these "12864 Display LCD 3D Printer Control Panels.
Will do the swap 1st to test the controller...

Re: 2004 LCD ( REPRAP_DISCOUNT_SMART_CONTROLLER )
My Controllers Base V1.3 and MPX.3 do not have a SD on the Main board. So to answer your question I am using the LCD SD Card reader. I added EFI shielding three years ago threw the entire length of the ribbon cable. They have worked perfect for 3 years, only sense upgrading the Marlin 2 has one been...

Have a question on a Reprap_Discount_Smart_Controller for some reason on Red (" Name of 3D Printer "). When it it powered on and I insert a SD card it will not recognize the SD Card. It on the other hand I power it off then insert the SD card and Power it on it will function correctly. Hav...

Re: how to fix this kind of quality issue
Searching the web, found iMe though after reading the articles could not determine how well it worked. Searched other 3D Printer forums could not find any further information. Use at own risk. https://www.reddit.com/r/m3d/comments/50fbms/new_releases_of_m33_fio_and_ime_firmware/ P.s you could ask th...

Re: Building My first 3dprinter: Need some help!
I use the 2mm pitch lead-screw. it works great. When I was using the 8mm pitch lead-screw any vibration near the either 3D Printer would allow the lead-screws to turn this would make the Z-Axis out of alignment. making me realign the Z-Axis before almost ever print. So my answer is Yes. Shown is 8mm...

Re: Building My first 3dprinter: Need some help!
The Z-Axis does not require a lot of torque. Would think that you could use a Nema 14 in place of a Nema 17 if you were to use a lower pitch lead screw. Below are calculations for my 3D Printer using 1.25mm pitch, 2mm pitch 4mm pitch and 8mm pitch lead-screws. // 1.25mm pitch is a standard all threa...
