Re: standard or abs like
I have used the Siraya Blu neat, it doesn't break, and up to 25% and 75% Elegoo ABS like, it almost unbreakable. I mix it as it's expensive to get in Spain.

Re: Print quality suddenly gets worse
Thanks Paul Hope you recover quickly from Covid I hope you just had a mild dose, I found it took about a month to fully recover, but then you're much younger than me. I lot of good advice. I too think it is a hardware problem, it's just strange it happens after the print has been working for a few h...

Re: Print quality suddenly gets worse
I have the printer in an enclosure bed temp 50° for the PLA they recommend 220° Fan 80%.
Don't know about the stepper for the filament, filament goes through bowden sleeve.
I've done some big prints, 72 hours for one and had no problem, but that was a couple of years ago.

Re: Print quality suddenly gets worse
Well I did a second print without changing anything, using the same SD card and gcode that was in the machine. Well I just a slightly better print, the good part is higher than the first print and it's not as fragile. But after the good part there are slight gaps in the layers as above. One thing I ...

The firmware were updated a few months back. I have done many prints, although smaller, without any problems, apart from this one.

Re: standard or abs like
I would use Elegoo ABS like resin, I use it all the time, or if you want to be 100% sure use Siraya Tech Blu, it's a bit more expensive but very very strong.

Print quality suddenly gets worse
Help! I have tried printing this part a few times and I always have the same problem. It's a thin walled cover, 2.2mm thick 100% fill. The print starts off perfect then you start to here the stepper filament motor clicking and the print quality suddenly gets worse. This particular print I could snap...

Re: FreeCad export to .stl files hugely different file sizes
STL files can't do curves, they are a series of flats. I don't know about Freecad but Solidworks let you set the precision of the exported .stl file.

OK, I've had a look at the files, as I'm no expert on Freecad I can only make my observations.

Re: Prints sticking exclusively to center area of FEP
I saw a post somewhere that you can test the LCD screen to make sure it's working OK, If I remember it makes the whole screen light up so you can see if there are any areas missing. If I can find out any more I'll post it here.

Re: Greetings. Day 1. Looking for guidance
Another thing to consider is, do you want to just print, or do you want to work on the printer adding and improving. I want a printer to just print after I built my first one that took quite a while. You have the likes of LePaul who is a bit of a nerd and likes to work on 3D printers, no offence LeP...
