Re: Cura 2.6.1 is out
@LePaul I think you got all answered to set it up. It should be quite easy if you check the gcode generated and read/check everything again.

Re: OctoPrint and Cura
I don't use octoprint, but if it homes two times, then somewhere the g28 is sent two times.
Maybe someone can clarify you that. Afaik I would just download the gcode that is generated with that and read it to see the issue.

Re: OctoPrint and Cura
Octoprint uses reprap mode with a um2 start/end. Edit the sequence and test step by step sending the gcodes manually to detect the issue.

Re: Cura 2.6.1 is out
- Per tool PID - Per tool Z offset - UM2/UM2+ bed PID (if is doable on um3 why um2 can't?) I suppose is because Europe didn't passed the ok for um2 long ago, but if um3 passed, what's different? - Travel/Print separated acceleration/jerk That's the first things that come to my mind right now that um...

Re: Cura 2.6.1 is out
Of course, Cura generates zero money for Ultimaker No no no, don't confuse Open source Cura with zero money, on the contrary, I think that's their money maker. Let show why Cura has UM, for UM, profiled on UM machines. Now, add UM filaments, and now they ofc are introducing technical materials (com...

Re: Cura 2.6.1 is out
Yeah. The community and users that give fame to a system might see how um plans and works. IMO is a bad marketing decision to stop pushing forward what they sell. UM clearly is laser focus on high companies and selling them in big numbers. That's fine, and they probed that their machines work, to an...

Re: Cura 2.6.1 is out
Well UM isn't a 10 guys in a garage company, is a real company with a business plan and workers. I think that to gain market, or not loose it vs new machines that offer much stuff (but most of them atm do it quite wrong like the ugly robo3d). So leaving old machines as Old, will only leave others to...

Re: Nylon X Carbon Fiber Filament
I would drop a mail to fiberforce italy, I seen their trat live in amsterdam when UM took us there and it was quite nice. Also Nicolinux bought a spool and he might share some knowhow. My experience with that company is that their wood filament really lives to the hype, is just gorgeous (but I buy i...

Re: Nylon X Carbon Fiber Filament
What's nylon X and why is special?
You want carbon and nylon? The only brand that isn't hydro sensitive cost 100€ kilo or more. All the other brands are just a pain in the arse. There's one very good from italy fiberforce, they also make the best (imo) wood filament.

Re: Cura 2.6.1 is out
Marlin is quite an unmaintainable piece of crap software architecture wise. Sure it works just fine, but making changes to it is really hard to do without breaking something. Besides, the um2 works perfectly well as it is now. Why risk changing it? There isn't a whole lot we can change without a re...

Re: Cura 2.6.1 is out
Have we been abandoned? :) Most probably... Tinkergnome time Basic business practice. If works, don't touch it. Also, there's no money on improving old models. Yes, um2+ is 'current'. But I bet UM sees UM2+ as a finished product that doesn't need any upgrade (and they are most probably right).
