Re: 500 errors on Ultimaker board

I wonder, do they test their updates?
Because if they do they'd better hire me(or any of us) instead of the current testers :O

Re: Coffee chat (since the other thread is huge!)

This is unsettling! Are you trying to split the group in 2 paul :(
Tea is superior! And having 1 topic is better I'd say. Perhaps renaming it to general chat?

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

I lolled today :P I was browsing the UM site for job offers, to see what they currently have. Was curious to see what info they wanted when you'd press apply for job. So I pressed the button, and got a popup saying thank you, we'll be in touch soon. xD So Nallath, if you see me around the office as ...

Re: Quality control

This poor guy.... see this thread I'm in so much doubt right now.. Either he is the unluckiest person ever or something else is going on.. I have 5 of these bad boys.. 1 from the first batch, then 4 from the normal batch.. if he gets 3 printers that all have a major defect.. I should have at least ...

Re: Tweaking the blobs out

The only tinkering that might be required is the fanshroud. My old designed fan shroud was too large, the nozzle didn't clear the shroud as the Ruby is less high than the original UMO nozzle. Do you have a picture of your hot end? And as Neotko mentioned, your coupler?

Re: Tweaking the blobs out

In my case that was no problem, as the brass was touching the nozzle anyway

Re: Tweaking the blobs out

Paul, you are sitting on a stash of Ruby Nozzles right. So I'd say pop one in(or pop one in that comes from your UM2+), and see if that helps ;) You remember that geared heart topic I had? Loads of blobs everywhere. After installing dual fan and Rubby Nozzle it was gone 100%. Same filament, same set...

Re: Tweaking the blobs out

For me this was solved using Ruby nozzle a dual fan(can't tell which did the trick as both were installed at the same time)
