Re: PrintedSolid CR-10 Safety Enclosure Review!
Nice, but there is no link on the youtube video post for the enclosure. Also, the enclosure hasn't been listed yet.

Re: Quiet 3D printer
Wow, glad I don't have that printer. I have both CR-10S and Hictop 3DP-17 setup in the dining room (too small to use as a dining room and it is between the kitchen and livingroom). When they are both going, they make a little more noise than our dishwasher or furnace. Depending on how you made your ...

Re: First layer too high
Is the Z limit switch always engaged (i.e. when Z=10mm)? It's possible that your limit switch or the circuit on the motherboard is faulty. You can test it with a cheap volt/ohm meter ($9 from Harbor Freight). Just set the meter for continuity and test the leads on the switch with it engaged and not ...

Re: print only shell, not walls
I checked your model on my system (same Cura), and the only way to get it to do what you are saying is if I have Spiralize Outer Contour enabled under Special Modes. Check that setting.

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
Sorry, I was 250 miles away helping my mother clean out her shop since last Friday. It was a major undertaking. When my back is better, I'll get more active.

Re: Octoprint Anywhere Plugin
Well, I added a suggestion and he ran with it. New update released this morning. I've loaded it on my printers, and since they will be idle for the next few days, this will be a decent test to see if there is improvement.

Re: Spontaneous axis reversal
I think both of these issues are likely related (and can be easily fixed) to your firmware configuration.h file.

Poor signal strength? You can check it with iwconfig: pi@big-hicci:~ $ iwconfig wlan0 wlan0 IEEE 802.11 ESSID:"gruenet" Mode:Managed Frequency:2.427 GHz Access Point: 92:3B:AD:28:A2:C7 Bit Rate=72.2 Mb/s Tx-Power=31 dBm Retry short limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off Power Management:off ...
Re: Fan speed
I think I see the problem. Your screen shot indicates you have an M3D printer. I think this has its own custom fan gcodes. I did a little googling and found this link which includes a profile for Cura 15.04. Try importing that and see if it helps. I also looked at your gcode, it does accurately turn...
Re: Fan speed
I haven't used Octoprint to slice. I use the latest Cura, then send to Octoprint. Having said that, I looked at the Octoprint settings, and I don't see anywhere to set the fan speed. Did you create a cura profile that had that, and upload it to Octoprint? Is there a way to inspect the gcode from Oct...

Re: Creality CR-10 ESSENTIAL Unboxing, Assembly, First Print Video
Hictop claims to have done the same, but no checklist and the supplied SD still has decapicat on it (along with a plethora of other broken models). Yours sounds a lot more thorough. I did get a free replacement hot end and tools to add quick connectors to the wiring harness as a Facebook promotion. ...

Re: Creality CR-10 ESSENTIAL Unboxing, Assembly, First Print Video
I have the 10S, my son has the 10. The upgrades are worth it, although not entirely perfect. One issue I have is that I need to constantly relevel after the printer sits for a while. The right Z axis will drop by as much as 1mm. It is easy enough to adjust, just send the carriage to the right side a...
