Re: Show off My latest Print
A little cap modification (my son wanted a logo on his plain cap). So I modeled and printed two so he could choose one (some of you might even recognise the "brand" :)). I modeled them in F360 and printed on my UMO with Ninjaflex, they turned out fantastic (bondtech QR3!!). After he chose ...

Re: Cura 2.1 open beta
Well, I just wanted to say, in general, I like the new Cura. An I really like the updated support structure / generator. I think it's much better than in the old cura... I have not used it too much (other than testing with my UMO, general prints) and I can't comment on Dual extrusion etc. So, it doe...

Re: HIC i3 - extruder motor or controller issues? HELP wanted
Has anyone blown a controller board by locking up a stepper motor? I would assume it would possibly cause an over-current on the driver and cause it to fail, but this one has not completely failed as the motor still moves, well... sort of. yes, similar things happend to one of my stepp-sticks a whi...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
I have checked it out (the MPCNC). But I'm having some doubts as to how ridgid it is. I'm looking for a CNC that can mill hardwood and some lighter aluminum jobs. But when time comes I might start with a less rigid one and work my way towards a more sturdy one. I agree, the MPCNC's are more suited ...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
most CNC's I have looked at uses US parts and sourcing them in EU is expensive. I will take a closer look at this one :) Hi nilrog, also, look at http://www.vicious1.com/ MPCNC. He has an international version also, which is what I printed. I were able to source it (mostly) in Switzerland / China a...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
Cool Amedee, looks great! I especially like the proximity endstops. Looks extremly sturdy... PCB milling? Alu, wood? As you know, I just built an MPCNC and yesterday I mounted all endstops (coincidence?) but just "normal" switch-endstops in NC configuration. I use RAMPS and Marlin to contr...

I am thinking of buying S3D since a long time. But I allways keep reminding myself, that cura does what I need, no problem. Once I find a use case where I "really" need it: I will finally hit buy.

Re: HIC i3 - current firmware development information
worth checking out the feeder. The impression that the filament is grinded, and because of this insufficient amount of plastic out of the nozzle. I agreee. This is to be expected behaviour as the temp goes down! The stronger the feeder, the longer it will extrude plastic. If you hear the feeder ski...
