Re: 2.3 beta

nallath wrote: The import script makes a copy of the data it imports from 2.1.3
really? I had to ditch my 2.1.3, delete all and restart. After installing 2.3, I had some weird glitches with the settings... after deleting the profile, uninstalling 2.1.3 and re-starting 2.3 all was well.

Re: 2.3 beta

@danilus, it's in the machines configuration. Settings... Printer ... Manage.... [Machine Settings] (I hope that's true for UM2s also, as I have an UMO.

EDIT: Nope... I created a profile... it's not. Sorry, I have no clue (other than in the settings xmls).

Re: 2.3 beta

@nallath, ok thanks. Can do that. I am on Win7 Pro 64. Just update my Graphics Driver to the latest (Intel, NB, HD Graphics 4000). Still the same.
I also think it's an opengl issue. The logs:

Re: 2.3 beta

Hi Guys, nallath, I am really impressed by the speed improovements, rendering speed of the layers! Great work, well done. I just tested a few things and had to start fresh (deleted the old cura profiles, settings) as it generated some wierd behaviour with profiles coming from 2.1.2. Great to see tha...

Re: Jonny's CNC portal mill

@Jonny, this is fantastic! A great design! If I only had the space... :) I am not going to post a picture of my CNC here... It would be embarassing. It's an MPCNC (Mostly printed CNC http://www.vicious1.com/, based around 25mm conduit) that is mostly for wood, plastic, acrylic... For me, it does the...

Re: Identify a (non-metric?) thread

first thing I would try, 2 part ninjaflex / pla piece that can be glued (or even screwed, snapped) together. Like you would cut the old black piece in half. Fun to create this! :)

Re: Identify a (non-metric?) thread

Hi Reiner I have been "searching" threads before and tried to replicate them in F360. If it really is a non standard thread, you can create your own ... but anyway you will need to know the pitch. It's actually preatty easy to measure normaly, but as yours is rather small, probabyl not so ...

no stringing at all, but it was a sort of solid round piece with a bracket so there was not much stringing expected anyway. Coasting was on FYI.

Re: nGen ?

Just got my first ngen spool and had to try (pretty busy at work atm) ! It's for a functional part that goes outside, that's why ngen. I tried with 235, 75, FAN OFF (thanks amedee), 50mm/s, 0.2 layer height. Turned out pretty well, layer adhesion is ok. Let's hope the 85 degrees c are enough to with...

Re: Super hard nozzles - Test pilots

Currently I am printing various prototypes with a 1.0mm nozzle, and it's incredible to see how fast that goes. Oh, and they are interlocking and fully functional prototypes just in case you were wondering. With some careful planning printing with a 1.0mm nozzle is really a fantastic way to print la...

Re: Super hard nozzles - Test pilots

I have now printed 4 roles (125m Diamond Age) of PLA (and a few NinjaFlex prints). The Ruby still holds perfectly well, no visible issues. All great (top surface could be better). No special filaments so far...

thanky for the hint. Tried to test switch from "all at once" to "one at a time" and the strange thing is, the print area height is reduced drastically (blue box)... Has anybody else seen this? Youp, exactly what happend to me. My "default" is to print one object after ...

Re: Cura 2.1 open beta

Thats sad... can you do me favor, are you on windows? If yes, close cura, go to your local appdata folder (start, run, %localapdata% and enter), rename the cura folder to cura.old or similar. Then start cura again. It should start with default settings. Try again...
