Fine Detail Print Settings
SLA printers admittedly do print some amazing parts but they are messy and smelly! So I just wondered if anyone has successfully been able adjust their printer setup to print in fine detail which is near the quality of an SLA printer? I've already fitted and used a 0.2 nozzle with reasonable results...

Re: Model Fan Duct
I recently had a heating problem with my printer which made it shut down just after the fan started up. The problem was at the end of the duct there was a V cut that let air blow onto the extruder nozzle which in turn cooled it too much!

Re: Where Do I Start?
Have to say I am really getting to like Cura 4.3 it has so many options in the configuration settings and after watching Architects3DP videos on youtube I am now starting to see some really good results. Like the Velociraptor Business Card link, I'm going to print a couple of those for my 9 & 11...

Re: Where Do I Start?
At a guess I would go for the far left print. Its amazing the difference printing from an SD card, I wouldn't have thought it would have been that noticeable! just go's to show the old tried and tested applications work the best. Currently because I am still waiting for a new SD card reader to arriv...

Re: Where Do I Start?
So having now got this far the big question is: What are the advantages of flashing upgraded firmware?

Re: Where Do I Start?
Things are now moving in the right direction at last! Tried out Cura 4.3 the print setting was "Draft" this was the result: https://i.imgur.com/oEbR5yn.jpg https://i.imgur.com/5eIdtqz.jpg The print didn't turn out half bad considering the choice of print setting. So I guess there must have...

Re: Prusa I3 Firmware & Drivers
Which Prusa printer did you select in the setup Cliffe? There's quite a few to choose from!
Trying out Cura 4.3 this evening on draught setting its only taking about 20 minutes to print off the Cura robot! Have to say the printer is running much faster than my last print.

Re: Moisture Eliminators
Erm, call me crazy, but if you have 3 year old filament, you aren't printing enough useless stuff. Get busy! My friend turned me on to these. He keeps them in some of his cars that are in storage. They work great. I own and run mould injection machines, different types of thermo plastics vary quite...

Prusa I3 Firmware & Drivers
Prusa have a slicer that looks a really good user friendly piece of software to use.
So this got me wondering would their firmware and drivers be compatible to use on a Hictop 3dp12 ? Slicer Info and Firmware

Re: Where Do I Start?
Well I finished setting up my machine this evening and ran my first print of a Cura robot file downloaded from Thingiverse printed using PLA. Its not a great print and from what I know about thermo plastics it looks as if there is moisture involved! So I guess I should buy a new spool of PLA as the ...

Re: Where Do I Start?
I most certainly will ! Many thanks for your help so far.
A couple of more questions for you: Would I be correct in assuming that the USB has to be configured in order to use Arduino ?
Also: Is it better to use the SD card over USB for GCodes when printing ?
