Re: ColorFabb XT-CF20 Carbon Fiber Filament
So I asked ColorFabb about the results of some prints. I sent them the GCODE and here's his ideas...I thought I would share with others in case they opt to try too... First, let's make the parts a bit more beautiful: - There's quite a bit of Oozing on your print. This is the liquid material that sit...

Re: UMO / UMO+ Firmware
Let me clarify...with my Cura settings of MIN being 4 and MAX being 10, on the Ulticontroller fan %, it always shows as 100%
If I go into the Ulticontroller settings, it reads the Cura settings.
Fans are working at the slower speeds represented in Cura
That make sense?

Re: Fan shroud upgrade
Okay, will try that.
Can't wait to be printing reliably again
Now the pulley is acting up again...prints lean forward.... printer is getting on my nerves now

Re: Fan shroud upgrade
I was able to find some flat-head metric screws at the local hardware store
I also put the nuts back on the bottom of the long threaded screws. But I see that it makes the left and right fan cap rise a bit (which might be contributing to the noise on homing above)

Re: UMO / UMO+ Firmware
That's fantastic...I was noticing the fans were always at 100% despite the parameters given in Cura (fan min, fan max)
How best to determine how determine that range for PWM on the Ulticontroller? I KNOW I don't want my fans at 100%

Re: nGen ?
I did some searches on nGen and some guys reported best luck printing much cooler. I tried 220 and it wouldn't come out the nozzles. 225 seemed better. Fans on low (as best I can gauge them) 40 mm sec image.jpeg Then 230, again low fan. Decided to try printing at 45mm for this image.jpeg I know 235 ...

Re: Fan shroud upgrade
I downloaded the Experimental Firmware with the Slow PWM and installed that into the UMO I made no wiring changes And it's working!! Now granted nGen is proving to be remarkably stringy but still, I got a print with no problems! image.jpeg Temp was 235 and I noticed the blobs forming, as I had seen ...

Re: Fan shroud upgrade
The selection of metric screws here is slim and I need a flat head screw
I am thinking if widening the holes for an 8-32 size thread...I can't recall what size tap drill #29 is...time to dig out the reading glasses and try to read the fine print on drill bits (a sure sign of old age)
