Re: Material for a peg

Sounds like success!
I know there are some PLA's of varying strength. The ColorFabb I use is a PLA/PHA combination, which might make it a bit stronger.

Re: PNP Capacitive sensor

Something like that comes with the FT-6 kit and I found it difficult to get to sense It could have been the custom PCB they included which had some issues....I decided to go BL Touch since the version of this didn't offer any way to tune sensitivity

Raspberry Pi 4 and Octoprint?

Anyone using the newest Pi with Octoprint? I like the USB 3 ports, which would allow me to put an external SSD on it....I'm not sure the Octoprint image directly supports that (would it boot to SSD) I've burned up a few SD cards from so many prints over the past year or so...those just can't seem to...

Re: Which Large 3d Printer?

Does that have the touch screen? I've seen some China printers with touch screen displays that tend to lock up. That's a concern I would have I also junk any and all filament sensors. Just make sure you have enough filament! (I've seen too many 48 hour + prints fail due to a false reading on the sen...

Re: Buying resins in Spain

ZYLTech just started offering resin. I'm not sure the type it is (what type of printers it will work with). Or their shipping costs...but do check them out!

Re: New resin printer

Good to hear you are being responsible and safe!

I am very curious to try a resin printer with the water washable resin. I'm not sure I am ready to take that step with so many FDM printers I need to finish tuning and upgrading!

Re: slicing under a angle for normal printers

The software from Ingersoll is not freely available and is a very custom slicer

The 45 degree nozzle is also something I can not share much about right now.

We've been doing some training with the manufacturer on the 5 axis machine head. It's impressive stuff I may need a refresher in Trig!

Resin printers!

I've had it suggested to me a few times and I figured now is a good time to add a section dedicated to Resin 3D printers!
