compile or put the new firmware and a different sd card. Put the "original" one up in a safe place. Insert the new card with the new software on it and if you don't like it, just insert the "original" sd card.

I downloaded your latest file and first looked at it in a stl viewer and then confirmed it in Cura.
I first noticed defects and it looks even worse in Cura!

Viewing the stl, it still shows that it is not watertight

In fusion, it did it just by using the commands as listed. As stated, never worked with surfaces before so don't know how to answer your question. Sorry.

If it is just a surface, I have read that fusion has a "thicken" command that will turn a surface into a solid. I have never messed with surfaces, so can't really advise on how to do it.

Assuming you don't have access to a stp or other solid model file. The way I would do it would be to import into cad, convert to a solid model and make the changes wanted. Then export as a new stl file.
