but I'm really interested in seeing what I can use to create and modify 3D models. I'd like to create some of my own and I've no idea of where to start. If you're looking for free parametric modeling software, don't miss FreeCAD . While for more organic/artistic work there are probably other/better...

Sorry, i'm quite busy in real live a.t.m. - no chance to visit the forum regularly... You're very kind, but i want to clarify that i'm not the inventor of this firmware, i made only a few changes to the user interface, not much more... A longer (or adjustable) timeout interval for the nozzle heating...

I think I came to the conclusion that changing the current settings in the motion settings menu only has effect after power cycling. Of course it would be nice if it immediately updated the current setting, if you have time to look into that :) I think, in V16.01 the new value is used after storing...

I have been using that tinkergnome firmware for some time and is certainly has some nice features :) The individual motor current is not 100% working though. I haven't had time to sort it out yet though, but one thing I noticed is that the second extruder current setting seems to need power cycling...
