@LePaul this is not entirely true. Yes, you cannot draw your own support in Cura. But you can load a model which has the shape of the space where you want additional support and select "support mesh" in the per object settings. Or you can use the "anti overhang mesh" for avoiding...

In new Cura, i think you have way more customisation compared to s3d. People still seem to think that S3D has more settings, but that has long ago ceased to be the case. In Cura 2.6.x there is an option "infill layer thickness" which does exactly what you want. However, this option is not shown by default and has to be enabled in the setting visibility dialog.

Yes, sure. I was talking of fan ducts that come very close to the hot parts (2mm).

Ultimaker PC is great although it also deformation a bit when used very close to the nozzle/block e.g. for a fan duct.
