Re: Quiet 3D printer

You could also use the TMC 2100 - at my UMO just a pick n place without big hurdles. Firmware needs to be tweaked a bit too, but my master sgt. is now quite (!) happy with the noise out of my office... Oh wow....I mean the UMO can HOWL with those wooden box acoustics. When I had mine doing long pri...

UM2 PTFE fit in stainless steel part

Hi guys, currently I'm in a project to update my beloved UMO with a (chinese) UM2 head. Decided to go this cheaper way as it is just a proof of concept for a dual nozzle setup with some specialities... :-) Dont want to machine and play around on original parts in several iterations and destroy money...

just a note of caution - there are M6x1 threads at most nozzles, but there are also M6x0.75 existing e.g. at UM3 cores...

Re: I wrote a bloat-free STL viewer

I have actually written a STL thumbnail handler – it’s as lean and fast as my viewer, and I’d *love* to distribute it! However, I wrote it for my company and I’ll need my bosses’ permission. That’ll take a while, I’m afraid :( Whooo... that would be great! have the same issue as jonny... please kee...

Re: Cura 2.6.1 is out

I just asked the firmware team why we never made the switch to the "new" marlin. As I already thought, the reason is pretty simple; It has been quite unstable (They have been working on it for 2(!) years and it's still not quite there yet). They added a whole slew of new features that are either un...

Re: Cura 2.6.1 is out

Well said neotko... CURA is the enabler - true word, and a value proposition that is perfect for companies, but also privat ones too - security. I think that UM has choosen the right strategy and I'm happy that it worked out to be the right one (because I love my UMO which I bought because of a very...

Re: Vinyl Transfer Paper Tape

I always use painters tape for transfer my cuts but that´s a reason for buying some transfer tape :-)
basically it is the same methodology as on the original UMO without heated bed so I would be interested in how the transfer tape reacts to heat applied from the bed? any findings?
