Re: Why is this so slow?

Simplify shouldn't be used with Cura's retraction settings. I had the same issue also using Neotko's settings. Do the following to check that the retraction settings are correct: 1- Install a filament dust filter before the feeder 2- Set the retraction amount 3- Verify that the printer is retracting...

Re: Z-axix linear bearings

Wouldn't this be resolved with an anti-backlash nut ?

Yeap that looks no good at all :(

@Neotko: I'm really looking forward the weekend to print your files for Gudo's Z holder on the UMO :) Been sourcing all the parts needed this week :D I hope that'll help me fix Z quality

Re: Simplify3d basic guide

I wonder if this could be adjusted to use the titan on top of the head rather than bondtech gears

Re: Several years worth of UMO hacks

I have just upgraded the extruder to E3D Titan and ordered the silent step stick drivers. I can say that the Titan extruder is DAMN QUIET! Works like a charm and I mounted it directly on the UMO frame in place of one of the X/Y motors (as I'm on direct drive). The thing is incredibly small, I was su...

Re: Simplify3d basic guide

Hi Neotko, I'll have a look at this. Right now I'll continue experimenting and may need to change drastically those values in the future as I'm planning to switch to a direct extruder. As I run on 1.75 mm filament that will also the best way for me to start playing around with flexible filaments :) ...

Re: Printer no longer auto levels...

Could this be a Z offset issue?
Can you post a picture of the printer indicating the part you replaced?

Re: Simplify3d basic guide

Hi Neotko, Here's my profile, I'm not sure whether it is the nozzle wipe function causing the issue: <?xml version="1.0"?> <profile name="Ultimaker A" version="2017-01-25 22:53:46" app="S3D-Software 3.0.2"> <baseProfile></baseProfile> <printMaterial></printMat...

Re: Simplify3d basic guide

I'm trying to use Neotko's profile and change the filament diameter to 1.75mm The weird issue is that it seems the machine while using this profile still tries to retract 4.5mm of filament, despite me changing the value to 2.0mm or 1.0mm For me it's important to use those lower values in order to no...
