Re: Cura 3.1 released, and no one said anything

Cheers Guys, at the moment I’ve just cut out sugar as much as I can, I dried various sweetness and sugar substitutes in coffee but as my tastebuds are screwed from the flu virus they don’t taste sweet to me, just bloody awful and leave a powdery feel to the mouth like a mouth full of cat hair 🙀. I g...

Re: Cura 3.1 released, and no one said anything

Sue and I have had a hectic year. And I’ve just been diagnosed as having type 2 diabetes, possibly linked to the bout of flu I had 5 years ago that damaged my hypocampus and I lost my senses of smell and taste. Bit of a bugger as one of the only things I get is sweetness and I’ve got to cut it out.

Re: Smaller nozzles

Sorry guys, been busy as Sue lost her father in May and we have been going upto Warrington a lot and have the coroners court in November as he had a bad stroke to his brain stem. I’ve not been using my small nozzles lately as Sue and I have been running a lot of PolySmooth, we have been testing it f...

Re: Suddenly getting hairy stringy prints

My print shown is the hip of the Braq dragon, in Polymaker's PolySmooth, I'm about to test some retraction and fan settings for this material, there's stringy and hairy but this is ridiculous.

It's a pity you can't fit him with a taser or pepper spray to get them back, perhaps a capacitor discharge on a flexible PCB track.

:-) it's a language barrier problem, some things including humour don't translate correctly, it can be tricky between English and Dutch, but English and American is a whole new can of worms

Re: Has anyone used NinjaTek Cheetah?

Yes but you may get some drips, another thing to do is add a little sewing machine oil to reduce filament friction in the Bowden tube, the nozzle heat is high enough to burn it off and I've not noticed any real degradation of the printed part.

Re: Has anyone used NinjaTek Cheetah?

Looking at the spec it has a narrow temperature range but it is likely that it would print from 220,
Speed wise I would stick to 30mm/s for all and reduce retractions to about 1- 2mm enough to take the pressure off.

Re: Simplify3d basic guide

In S3D, On the machine control panel there are 3 macro buttons you can program, I did set them for atomic clean temperatures so Macro 1was heat nozzle to 210, macro 2 was heat nozzle to 96. Was ideal for atomic cleaning when having to do a lot of cleans with a messy filament. But because i didn't kn...
