Re: HIC i3 - current firmware development information

All, I have not been on here in months, personal life you know has had me tied up. It sure looks like you guy's are doing good here and have folks that are learning and sharing. That's one reason why I created the original threads here. My printer has been idle, but about to fire it up again. Still ...

Re: HIC i3 - current firmware development information

I recently purchased the Hic i3 3DP08 with the auto leveling sensor. Now after trying some of the config file that have been posted here I am still un able to get things to work right. I will admit this coding is not in my wheel house. Here is what I'm trying to accomplish: 1) enable eeprom (so I c...

Re: Uploading/flashing Marlin to your Hic i3 (or other)

Hey Chip, So I used winzip to extract the files. Now I have a folder full of files. Do I use the configuration.h file and use the arduino software to load it into the board? When trying to use Cura to install custom firmware it is looking for a hex file. I don't have any hex files? Thanks for your ...

Re: Uploading/flashing Marlin to your Hic i3 (or other)

Chip I am new to the forum, just bought a hictop I3 3dp-11. Is there any way to contact you directly in getting this firmware updated. Downloading your file it comes up as a .rar not .ino. I have Cura and Repetier. I have the arduino ide. I don't have a configuration.h file. I thought I could use y...

Re: Firmware Marlin-1.1.0-RC6 - now running

So how is the firmware running? Could you post your configuration.h? Thanks! I just got my config settings moved over to RC8... currently printing off it... lets see how it goes. Hey gang, post your own software/firmware updates and news in a different thread please If it's not 1.1.0-RC6... Thanks!...

Re: HIC i3 Calibration

I heard about that method and going to try it out as I had the same issues. Strange, 100mm should be 100mm no matter what right?

Re: Firmware Marlin-1.1.0-RC6 - now running

Thanks for the awesome work with this. I haven't gone through all lines of both configuration.h and configuration_adv.h yet - I'm in the process of doing so before adding an inductive sensor - but I notice that you left EEPROM disabled (line 775 of config.h). Just checking whether that was a mistak...

Re: Firmware Marlin-1.1.0-RC6 - now running

You all have to research and configure mainly the Configuration.h file for your particular printer. A lot of you ask questions that I cannot answer due to the fact my printer configuration is different than yours. Again, the software 'core' is the same throughout on the functional level but you have...

Just download the source files as shown above, the Configuration.h file is in there.

Years of experience, you are spot on as tinned ends on all wire connections are vital. We use crimped ferrules on military and flight applications.

Good luck with Hictop supplied source code. Never had any luck with it, reason I used Marlin from Github. Lot of the issues with your build, I can relate but overcame it. Good luck!

Re: Uploading/flashing Marlin to your Hic i3 (or other)

I received this .hex code form Hictop today, but i'm having a auto home direction issue Moving right and not left towards the micro switch.. How do i change this? You have to download, compile and upload firmware using source code. You cannot 'change' a already compiled .hex file if you do not have...

Re: Uploading/flashing Marlin to your Hic i3 (or other)

Not quite sure, but sounds like a hardware issue since it appears you have performed some modifications. I would re-check everything, wiring, connections, et. all. Myself and others have no issues with the current firmware. Wish I could help you further.

Re: HIC i3 - current firmware development information

Thanks m00se! I appreciate it. Chip Luck - Can you point me to the latest version of the firmware you are using? If it makes any difference, I'm using the 3DP-03. I see links from you to various versions all throughout this forum, but I'm not quite sure that I've got the latest and greatest. :) Tha...
