Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

LePaul : with "a girlfriend"? Not "the" or "my"? :) Been working my 3 printers to death :) A lot of multi-material prints to show off. I promised to give a printing demo to about 100 kids. So far I printed excellent props (a 200% sized E3D V6 hotend thanks to Thingiver...

KISSlicer on mac?

Anyone here experience with KISS? I was advised to look at it as it supposedly has very good multi-material support. I installed it not so long ago and the interface kinda scared me off. Also the fact that it stores its configuration in your Mac's /Applications folder is something I can't easily acc...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

Same here, bought the UM2 4 years ago and it's still plowing through everything I feed it. I assume you stuck that PEI sheet over the glass? So you would take out the glass if it was worn down, fairly straightforward replacement I presume. I like the PEI sheet itself and the quality it gives, but on...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

I dunno... I mean, they require a lot more "hands on" and maintenance than my UM. I move my printers around quite a lot to give demos. The prusa's tend to have problems a lot more than the UM2. Mostly because everything "just hangs out there", instead of being tucked away nicely....

But they aren't :) Meet the #prusa family: MK2S-MultiMaterial: 20180202_151030.jpg MK3: 20180202_151024.jpg MK2S will normally be getting the heated bed and filament sensors upgrade as well shortly, as soon as they start sending those out. (Ow, and between the 2, you can see the sides, is my trusty ...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

I spent quite some time 3d printing this weekend. My Prusa MK3 arrived on Friday. Initially I was really happy with it, it seems like top improvements all the way (filament detection, the detachable heatbed-cover, collision detection on the steppers, extremely silent). Noticed fairly quickly the car...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

Weather is weird here too... Usually winter is relatively cold (slight freezing temps) but this winter has looked more like autumn... Constant rain for weeks on end.

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

Wassup guys. Haven't been around for a while, life has taken a bit of a turn lately and haven't been able to spend any time on the printer and other things in general. Anyway. Spent an entire day yesterday upgrading my Prusa i3 MK2 to an MK2S-MM. I know a number of you guys would like to know more a...

Re: Josef talks about Multiextrusion and more

So yesterday I installed the MM upgrade. I have to say, I'm somewhat disappointed. The printed part quality for the extruder housing was pretty poor in my kit. The part seems to have released from the bed during printing and was somewhat deformed but they still decided to ship it. I can't securely t...

Re: Original Prusa i3 MK2 review

Haven't been able to mount the kit yet, had a bit of a rough couple weeks. Hope to be able to do that this weekend or the next. As for the PEI sheet... not a fan. the new one has surpassed its ancestor lifetime wise (because I now now what a piece of crap those PEI sheets are as compared to glass) b...

Blackbelt

So there's a new kickstarter out for the Blackbelt 3d Printer It prints on a belt so in theory it can produce items of unlimited length by 34cmx34cm: blackbelt.jpeg Also, they claim that since the print is done under 45º instead of from 90, they can do 90º overhangs without problems (probably as lon...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

Pff been so busy the last weeks... We built our house as a turnkey solution but I had no clue how much work remains after they are "finished" with it. Guys I need your advice: I'm demo'ing my 2 3D printers on a kids-tech-happening this weekend and the previous years I've always had them pr...
