UM2 Heater Blocks
Hi there, Asked this on UM forum but received no replies. Trying my luck here. My UM2 is soon going to turn 6 years old and it is unbelievable machine. Olsson block was installed once it got released, way, way back. It's parts show the age and wear and tear, so I am thinking of replacing/upgrading i...

Re: Testing out a new style!
The new scheme reminds me the now gone for good "New UM Forum", and this is not a compliment. Too bright and too much white space again. I do appreciate the effort you guys put in this forum, so please take this as just my personal opinion. Other than the new look, I like the functionality...

I think it's OK. The side walls are good, the leftovers at the top can be wiped off with a finger.

Re: don't succeed to have my model printed
Hi Moshe,
The model looks extremely small. Could that be that it got scaled down? It happens sometimes.
Do you use raft? Are you sure the bed is calibrated? What nozzle diameter do you use?
A few pictures perhaps could be helpful.

Re: UM2 problems
I bought my replacement board on Aliexpress for about 1/3 of what our local distributors wanted.
Works fine so far.

Re: UM2 problems
Reading the description provided, the main board comes as the suspect on my mind.
Could that be some wires getting occasionally loose?

Re: Layer splitting with ABS
Hi,
Hmm, I would still up the temp, since there is a problem. Maybe, you can try some other printer, capable of higher temperatures?
The thickness of the walls - how many outside layers(shells) do you have? Make sure you have at least two, more is better. Infill is secondary to that. IMHO, again.

Re: Layer splitting with ABS
IMHO, 240C is on the lower edge for ABS. Try to up it to 260C and make thicker walls if possible.
Lower the speed to see if it makes an impact.

Save the file to the SD card and then you can edit it via any Textpad or other editor on the PC. It is very convenient as then you can actually rename the profiles to have meaningful names. PSB my file: [material] name=PLA temperature=210 bed_temperature=60 fan_speed=100 flow=100 diameter=2.85 [mate...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
My position at current workplace was terminated and I was given rather extended period of 3 months to look for a new job. So I do. In-between, preparing to give the first prosthetic hand we prepared for a kid, and we are excited! Also printed this cute egg as Anders did, my daughter loves it, even t...
