Re: Geeetech A10 3D Printer

Well...problems galore... 1) Bulge showing in one section of print, seems to indicate something is up with the z screw 2) Controller knob sucks. Dozens of turns to move through the menu items one by one. I'll have to remove the knob and see if that's any better. 3) Back cover for one of the rails ca...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

Okay I did some upgrades, two or three...the automated process via GoDaddy seems to work best. I just have to alter a few CSS files after each upgrade. There's a newer update out but not available via the InstallTron installer yet.

Thanks for the contributions towards the renewal bill!

Added a new section...

With so many printers and clones of them, I added under RepRap Printers "Other 3D Printers" Due to my lack of creativity and coffee at the moment, I couldn't really figure out a good way to place a section for all the sub $500 and $200 printers out there! If you have some ideas on creating a better ...

Fixed (as I always have to post upgrade..).. Logo back (need a new one!) If you don't see the logo, be sure to purge your web caches. Private message notifications edited. If they contain the word "Private", 99% of mail servers flag them as spam. Removed "private" from the templates that send those

Re: Geeetech A10 3D Printer

Got the A10 unboxed and setup A fairly simple affair, although a few things weren't well described...such as the z bearing/z screw guide that goes up top and how to secure the ribbon cable that goes from the controller to the 20 x 4 LCD screen. The controller knob is a problem, it takes a lot of tur...

Re: Successful 1st ABS Print

I have 3 cats and have an air purifier running down where the printers are. I'd like to vent outside but would probably have to hire someone that's savvy on the proper ways to move the air

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

Well nothing has been decided I’m still debating. IP Board costs a lot to do PhpBb has its pluses and minuses. We’re still missing a few nice add on features from the last upgrade The authors of those extensions no longer support their work. So while php is free the ability to add things seems a bit...

Re: Successful 1st ABS Print

Ha ha....now THAT'S funny!

I resisted the suggestion to use that stuff. But I've become a convert...I really liked the diluted wood glue method but the idea of a few short sprays and you're good to go has proved to work very well for me

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

Good points and moving the existing content is a priority

I just had the upgrade system for phpBB. It's always a completely risky cut, paste and hope the script does the job. I see a lot of support posts on their support Bb about blown up upgrades.

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

A few things... We're close to having the renewal bill covered. Anything above and beyond will go into the forum...I anticipate whatever new software I put us into has a monthly cost. I like IP Board since a few other forums use it. phpBB seems to be a few steps behind on what others offer. While I ...
