Re: Here I go again...the FT-6 is here

Boxes are the ultimate cat trap!

I need to do a few things to the i3 Mega and clear off the work space so the FT-6 will fit....I also need to relocate my laptop and camera!

Re: I wrote a bloat-free STL viewer

Anything that makes it simple for the end user is ideal. And mimic other program installs they have done. If they have to do registry or command line things to make it work, I may just pass. I just don't want to do a video that causes a zillion comments asking how/why it won't work for them.

Re: Tips on Post Processing

It's a lot like soldering and shrink tubing. A heat gun shrinks it up nicely. An open flame scorches it and you're left with brown/black heat shrink :)

Re: I wrote a bloat-free STL viewer

64 bit I had originally un installed it, rebooted it, and was recording the process to install it. Upon install, Windows gave me the blue pop up (Windows Defender?) blocking the install. You can still choose "Run anyway" but certainly that's going to discourage many from continuing. I'm not at the P...

Re: I wrote a bloat-free STL viewer

Still not showing on a reboot.
So I can't do a video on this since it's not working well enough for a basic user to utilize.

I'm right clicking on a STL file and go to Properties
When I try to change Open With, I am not seeing the Thumbnail viewer anywhere

Re: I wrote a bloat-free STL viewer

The installer still gives a Windows warning...which I think will scare some people away. Is there something you can do to remedy that?
It also appears to require a reboot?

Re: First thoughts on the ASSEMBLED FolgerTech FT-i3 Mega

Okay so with the help of my friend, Keith, he designed an X carriage that would contain both the E3D Titan Aero and the EZABL 12mm bed leveling probe. titan aero.jpg We had some early concerns with the Z motors up high with couplers that have those thin cuts inside of them. I had an early CR-10 that...

Re: Updating Firmware CR-10 S5

As Robert mentions... Remote admin of printer (start/stop/pause), addition of a web camera for time lapse or monitoring The Octoprint Anywhere Plug In allows you to view your Octoprint server from remote anywhere. (Whether you trust your printer to print un-attended is a personal decision!) The one ...

The FT-5 is on my radar to rehab and upgrade! So far only PLA prints came off of it

Re: Tips on Post Processing

I'd be really careful with an open flame but heat guns are good at getting the hairs off a stringy print

Re: Updating Firmware CR-10 S5

One firmware I would suggest is the TH3D Unified Firmware. He's really made a lot of tweaks for each printer Yours appears to be in the list.
