Good to see a lot of friends from Ultimaker forum around! I'm visiting this forum for a long time and finally I'm in.

Re: Which Large 3d Printer?

The specs on the CR-10 print head show it can't handle those higher temps with the stock nozzle ("Nozzle temperature: below 250 Deg.C in normal state, max. 270 Deg.C" but I really think you'd burn out the PTFE liner and make a big mess) I know many people upgrade to an E3Dv6 among other upgrades to ...

Re: Just ordered a Tornado....

Well if you read that link, it also details how the popular 3D Print group on Facebook had to ban every verified member of Tevo from the group. Anyone with any small problem with a Tevo was flamed, insulted, attacked and beyond. The moderators said they had never seen anything like it before. I side...

I won't publicly name the donors...I don't want anyone to feel awkward! But I want to thank those that have chipped in.

Re: Odd issue recently

I've heard of the SD card slot coming loose on those but I wonder if you have a buggy USB connection? It might be worth opening the electronics box and seeing what's going on inside?

Re: Which Large 3d Printer?

The FT-5 is a complete kit and takes quite some time to assemble, tune and print....and many have issues with it's reliability (me!) There's also power supplies that like to go POOF and honestly, I would have some great pause letting it print un-attended. The CR-10 works quite well once you take the...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

It's sad how awful slow that site is

I wonder how much business it has cost them. I mean, many people will research an item, their support pages and so on prior to purchasing. If the support forums load like crap.... ?

That's interesting. I know on the Octoprint site there's some conversations in there about cables and interference

Ha!

Looks like the email notification needs fixing...clicking the link doesn't work right....it's missing a "/" between the domain and Viewtopic. Ahhh! More fixing.

Re: 3.0.4

So far, for a great deal of my prints, S3D has really won me over. The red hot mess of the Cura settings screen is a raging disaster to sort through. Documentation of how to use various features is poorly documented, at best. I mean, unless you are a devout follower on the Ultimaker board or here, s...

Re: 3.0.4

Well yes, but it is hard to predict if Cura will blow up or not :)

S3D maintains you last setup upon load up, which is extremely convenient.
