The plug in was bad. Remove it and install the plug in again. Or go to the newer version of cura

Re: It's a bit too quiet in here...how is everyone?

We've been on a hot/muggy/humid streak over here, which is the usual for this part of Maine. In other news, my YouTube Channel finally pushed past 1,000 Subscribers, so that's a really good achievement for me! I'm having a lot of fun doing it, still learning the finer points of editing...but I like ...

Re: Noob with tons of questions

I'd love to know what you find...the Tevo seems OK but I am seeing a lot of happy reviews about the Ender 3 I've just had a lot of people ask me in the past this very question. 4 bought CR-10S's and are loving them. Another went with a kit that he never finished. It's like upgrading the game rig...y...

Re: Noob with tons of questions

I've been in the IT field for 25 years, so I share that background.

But 3D printing is a completely different creature.

If that's your budget, I wish you well. There isn't any in that realm I would buy.

Re: Noob with tons of questions

I'm sorry I didn't see this thread a bit sooner I can tell you for $300, I would say save some more and go for something like a Creality CR-10S. It's $625 if you buy from a US vendor (TinyMachines, PrintedSolid) who has unboxed it, inspected it, tested it and then ships it to you known good. You cou...

Re: It's a bit too quiet in here...how is everyone?

I bought a pile of filament recently and been trying those out on the CR-10S and Ultimaker 2+ Matteforge Matte Black PLA is quite interesting. No shine! The suggested temps kind of surprised me... 195C. I found that way too low and had parts that felt like styrofoam from poor adhesion. 210-215 is wh...

Re: Polymaker Polywood filament

It's a small roll and we really want to make a Groot with it

I'm going to try a cooler temp, maybe 200 or even as low as 195

Polymaker Polywood filament

Well I am trying to dial this stuff in to print a bit nicer on my Ultimaker 2+

The instructions indicate it wants hotter...I printed at 210 and I probably should do 220.

It's the top of the print that makes me think hotter would not be ideal tho?

If we could make replacement organs, that would certainly be a game changer for so many with disease.

Matterhacker Pro Series PETG on an Ultimaker 2+

Anyone used it?

I was advised to use the CPE setting in Cura and on the Ultimaker control panel when loading it.

Just curious if anyone has used it, had some suggestions, fan settings, etc
