Re: VHS Tape Repair Frame

Ironically.... ...I found a box of old VHS tapes. Many still sealed. They were Wide Screen versions of movies I had...and tucked away for the day I had a wide screen TV to play them on. Since I have yet to see an HDMI level VCR, I think if I did open them up, the resolution offered would be disappoi...

Re: Folger FT5 feed problem

I'd suggest checking the igus Flexible cables too.

And I know some use CAT5 cable with PCB breakout boards.

Re: 3D printer for Middle School education, which one?

Filament for use in the Ultimaker/2.85 printers isn't expensive. Hey I bought 3 rolls for IC3D 2.85 filament for under $45

Re: 3D printer for Middle School education, which one?

Exactly why I suggested it...let the kids see how to print instead of dealing with making those cheaper ones print reliably! I love my CR-10S and the other China printers have their pros and cons....but for a student's first taste into 3D printing, I'd opt to introduce them into something built to p...

Re: Folger FT5 feed problem

I have the stock wiring and have been very leery of it...which is why I opted to solder in the wiring and not use his connectors to the extruder/hot end. Grab the multi meter and check for continuity. I know others have opted to use CAT5 cabling...I was going to use ChainFlex (igus) wiring but I was...

Re: 3D printer for Middle School education, which one?

I'd go with an Ultimaker 2+ You could see if there are any educational discounts available by inquiring with either Ultimaker or Fabrc8 (USA manufacturing facility for Ultimaker).

Re: Printer missing parts

Since that seems to happen largely in one spot, I wonder if that is where your stop/start of each layer is? Are you using coasting?

It's odd it's only at the middle layers.

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

That's hilarious, nice find! Friends show me all sorts of various Star Wars collectibles and seem surprised to learn...I am not a collector! I loved the R2 build and I enjoy upgrading the droid as better ideas come out. But generally, after I do a Star Wars event with my R2....I'm Star Wars'd out fo...

Re: Folger FT5 feed problem

Wow, you're up against everything....I'm glad it isn't just me for once! I'm assuming you did some continuity testing with a multi-meter on those wires? I've been doing so on my i3 Mega build since I'm leery of those connector blocks (I'm trying to stay true to the instructions and do what they advi...

Re: Mosfet Upgade

I agree, mine doesn't take a long time heat up...no longer than my Ultimaker 2+ or even my CR-10S (my Tevo Tornado has an AC bed so that's super quick).
