This printer's instructions certainly has a lot of areas that need additional steps and some more clarity. I was asked to offer my detaile...

Re: Desktop enviroment for Octopi?

Well its like this if you are standing by at the Raspberry Pi with Octoprint you must be standing by the 3D Printer and it own controls. I think that it would be redundant to have a screen on Octoprint and also have a screen on your 3D Printer. However if you had an extra Raspberry Pi 3 you could m...

Marlin 1.1.9 full menus

It looks like the default is the simple menus....but I can't find where to get EVERYTHING to show, for example the babystepping and so forth

I did make sure M500 was enabled and things like that.

But I sure hate that default short menu!

Re: problems reaching Temperature.

It's a DC bed on the CR-10 / CR-10S 12v takes a long time! (That's why the Tevo Tornado that came out after the CR-10 craze was so popular, having an AC bed that heats up in about a minute) Insulating could help but you'll still struggle given the power You might want to consider upgrading to an AC ...

Re: Cocoon Create Profile for Cura V4

I can't recall what it's called in Cura...maybe Support Top Distance...or roof....support interface? But you can set how the support "touches" the layer it is supporting for a smoother surface upon removal

Re: [SOLVED] CR10S Marlin Firmware - arvdude vs bossac?

I think you're being overwhelmed. The INO extension file is what is opened. If you use his batch file, "OpenFirmwareWindows" it will open for you. If you have Arduino installed, you can download the firmware only zip and open that up. It's called TH3DUF.ino and a double-click will open it up You'll ...
