Re: Large nylon printer for work project
I'd check the reviews on YouTube for the Dremel machines...I haven't heard much about them that impressed me

You're overextruding a lot.

Re: 3D Printing in the (sub)tropics
I'd ask an electrician about the questions you posed. I ask mine those sorts of things! Drying is easy, just takes planning. I dry all of my materials, PLA, PETG, etc. The reason I do this is because many filaments use a water cooling as part of the production process. So despite material arriving i...

Re: 3D Printing in the (sub)tropics
Hi there, some suggestions! The X1 Carbon looks like a great printer. I'd like to have one! The enclosure is and air handling look pretty good. The Material Handling system also looks nice. I use a Print Dry Pro filament dryer on every material I am about to print. Yes, Nylon and PETG certainly pull...

Re: Mysterious Missed Extrusion
Well you ruled out one thing i suspected ... filament tangle. Usually a random under extrusion could be an indication of a partial clog. Are you printing within an enclosure? Filament dry? Id think if it was an issue with the Hemera you'd have issues all over. Let's start with the cheapest parts fir...

Re: Polycarbonate wheel upgrade
Unless you really need them, I wouldn't bother.
I have dozens of printers and the wheels are covered in wax. If you do regular maintenance, just wipe them down.
I think TH3D sells the poly wheels tho, if you want to get them from someone reputable

Re: Printing with 0.8 nozzles
So I have answered my own question
A good (thick) first layer, like 2/3 the nozzle diameter helped a lot. A little babystepping too
