Re: DLP dimensional issues on larger areas
Hi. Thanks for the reply. In the meantime, I've definitely tried many things. Many of your great suggestions too. - unfortunately I can't flip it around 180 since that leaves the important areas facing the bed and would result in an unpleasant surface finish - I did try all sorts of angles which was...

DLP dimensional issues on larger areas
Hi everyone. I'm wondering if anyone can help me determine what might be going on here. It's oddly much more difficult to see in photos, but nonetheless: I seem to be having an issue where there are dimensional inaccuracies in certain areas of prints when the exposed surface area increases. Hopefull...

Re: Extrudr PLA Tec Black
I did. Thanks for any suggestions. Ran through my usual "2 wall box" filament calibration process as well. Even tried over- and under-extruding to see if that factor helped at all.

Re: Extrudr PLA Tec Black
Apparently that test was just a demonstration of how it can handle heat since that is one of it's key selling points. Not a demonstration of a required annealing process. Though I admit it was confusing at first to me too. That and those gentle mallet hits in that orientation don't really demonstrat...

Re: Extrudr PLA Tec Black
Yeah. I was a little too excited by the potentials of this material and am now beta testing something that has some issues. I have contacted them and they have had some unique and peculiar requirements/suggestions for their materials in the past. So I will wait and see what happens. Really the only ...

Re: Extrudr PLA Tec Black
Interesting to hear your experiences. Just to clarify, I haven’t tried linen at all. Mostly interested in materials that offer strength first and finish second. Which was why I was interested in PowR since it seems to be an improvement on PlaTec (nice finish, high temp, and apparently stronger layer...

Re: Extrudr PLA Tec Black
I just picked up some of their PowR filament and am severely disappointed with the layer bond strength. It seems to be an improved PlaTec lignin type material which is why I'm following up here. It's incredibly weak regardless of the many combinations of temp/speed/fan/layer height I've tried so far...
