Re: Part cooling fan tied to Y?

To keep your 3D Printer printing it is somewhat faster to replace the fan wire everything. Then trouble shoot while the fan is off the 3D Printer and easily accessible. This is why some of us have at least one spare of all consumable parts. Fans, Thermisters, Bearings, Couplers, Hotend Heaters, nozz...

Re: Marlin 2.0.x on My Hictop 3DP11

Today I am testing junction deviation using .06 I have read several articles Stating that .02 is ~ a jerk setting of 5 Starting at 0.05 is a typical value for a 3D printer. If your printer is very sturdy, you could use 0.1. Decided on .06 as my starting point #define JUNCTION_DEVIATION #if ENABLED(J...

I have also bought some belt tensioner springs to see if that will help with getting the tensions right.
I have heard that the Belt tensioner springs have a way of introducing elasticity where you don‘t want it.

Re: OctoPi 0.16.0

Have found that they are still porting Octoprint to Python 3.6.3 any are still experiencing bugs with plugins.

Even though spent time upgrading to the Newest Python 3.6 none of the Plugins I have work with this newest version of Python.
Would have been a nice thing to know before upgrading.

Re: Updating HIC 3DP-03 to Marlin 1.1.X

Marlin 1.1.5 with the Configuration.h you posted went off almost without a hitch. As it turns out (for future reference if anyone else with a Hictop is reading this) I did need to invert the endstop logic: This is really strange went back through all my Configuration.h files I do not have a configu...

Re: Need a bit of help deciding on upgrade or new

Yes your numbers are looking the same as the numbers on my 3D Printer and you have exactly the same stepper motors.

Ok we need to determine why you are getting layer shifting,

Re: Need a bit of help deciding on upgrade or new

Take a Photo of the E- Stepper from the right side and a photo of one of the Z Steppers from the bottom and Post. You should have plenty of torque as not to easily stop the stepper in motion or turn the stepper while holding torque. Do not get me wrong you can stop it and turn it though is should no...

Re: Shifted Layers

Now this is not a ridge just a different shade line. I tell you what speckled table top sure doe not do the photo any just...
