Re: Extruder wont extrude Hitop 3DP12

They are simple to install. They have a tapered hole that allow you to loosen the two outside Z-Axis stepper screws place the mount and reapply the screws. This will hold the Smooth rod with a lot better support. Seen in the attached photo Hic Top Z-Axis Smooth Rod Support2.jpg It Does, and I have a...

Re: Extruder wont extrude Hitop 3DP12

It would appear that we are, did not take time to note this at the time of my Post. Though it does print quite well, you can see even with all my 3D Printing that this model was attempting to warp from the bed. I was not using any ABS juice and choice to print on This cheap 3D Printer Bed Surface. ...

Re: I wrote a bloat-free STL viewer

I do not use windows Defender thous did not see the warning screen. I have found the windows defender is basically a waste of CPU power. In fact most Antivirus programs today have grown so complex that they take most processing power to run themselves. Thereby leaving you little for your personal us...

Have never had this problem with RESTORE_LEVELING_AFTER_G28 I do know that when you update your firmware that some G-Code need to be sent to allow the new firmware defaults to be read and stored. M502: Factory Reset - Marlin Firmware M500: Save Settings - Marlin Firmware If this is not done then the...

Re: Getting the Tevo Tornado first prints going!

Had a few problems myself, with the Power supplies thermal fuse blowing on normal use. Simply removed and jumped the traces as it was in series with a standard fuse. The all-thread lead screws were the worst problem squeaking and causing Z-Axis lines on all my prints. As for the Aluminum frame it co...

Re: Bought a used Hictop 3DP17 from a local chap...

I think I need to check the vRefs There is so much slop in the lead screws, I find that this part cooling fan is SUPER powerful!! I will raise the Z-Axis after home to the Cross bar disable the steppers, then will level the Z-Axis with the Cross Bar. This is done by turning the lead screws into bot...

I then grabbed a copy of Marlin 1.1.9 from Github. I hope you grabbed the Marlin 1.1.9-bugfix version, as they fixed quite a few problems after releasing Marlin 1.1.9 . Myself as Marlin 2.0.x was stable for Ramps 1.4 compatible hardware I jump in with both feet so to speak install on both 3D printe...

Re: Bought a used Hictop 3DP17 from a local chap...

I have the 3DP11/12 upgraded to what is closely considered a 3DP17. I believe that this will be easily converted to your 3D Printer I have all Marlin 1.1.x and even Marlin 2.0.x setup. The first step is to download the original firmware from the Manufactures web site here . This is a backup to be ab...

Re: New large print with CR-10 S5

Hello, I am going to try a large print on a CR-10 S5. Basically the model is a shoe box 8” tall with some ribs and towers in the middle. I am using Cura to slice the file but have a few questions about infil and Z pick ups. Is it better to use Z hops or not? What is a sand infil amount? Also any ot...
