Re: Marlin 1.1.5

Have you done any testing with the Linear Advance they have added in newer builds? Not as of this date, was looking into the CRC error if it was going to crash the into the bed causing damage. Have been helping the the forums New users get setup with their new Printers to kill time. And Building a ...

Re: Marlin 1.1.5

Not an error, looks like it is just a checksum that is stored with the data for testing. configuration_store.cpp // Report storage size #if ENABLED(EEPROM_CHITCHAT) SERIAL_ECHO_START(); SERIAL_ECHOPAIR("Settings Stored (", eeprom_size - (EEPROM_OFFSET)); SERIAL_ECHOPAIR(" bytes; crc ", (uint32_t)fin...

Re: HIC i3 - current firmware development information

I have Marlin 1.1.3 and 1.1.5 on a variety of Hictop printers. Some are MPX.3 and some V1.3. I have not seen this issue at all. I did get G28 Z forbidden before, but that was due to having Safe Homing turned on when I was trying to home Z at another location. Maybe that is why I get it, I Have safe...

Re: HIC i3 - current firmware development information

I've successfully gotten 1.1.0-RC8BF working with autolevel with bilinear mode on my 3DP-11-AL (which is really a 3DP12). You can find it here . As of today I have compiled and flashed every version of marlin 1.1.X Setup and Complied Marlin 1.1.0 displays works perfect. Still using trying to upgrad...

Re: So many issues...

Don't pay him a second thought, Hictop is a good Sturdy Aluminum frame 3D Printer and will stand up to any filament Models on the market today. Better than most Wood, Plastic and Acrylic frame printers on the market, a few years from now their Wood, Plastic and Acrylic frames will warp deteriorate i...

Re: So many issues...

Before assembling check the PTFE lining in the throat for distortion, this can be done by pushing filament thru with it when dissembled. When assembling the PTFE goes to the Bottom, screw the Nozzle into the heater block until two threads are exposed. then screw the throat into the Heater block and ...

Re: So many issues...

I'm really at a loss here... I got everything re-assembled after replacing the bearings and all looked ready to go. I went to print a calibration cube and ran into my old friend "not a damn thing is extruding". Nozzle is at temp (200), filament seems to be seated in the extruder motor and should be...

Re: Settings tutorial

Unfortunately I do not believe there is just one, if there is it is well hidden. I believe you will have to read many. None of these articles cover any area to a thorough explanation, they get to the point they want to make and stop. This is some of the better articles. http://www.instructables.com/...

Re: Replacement extruder assembly

I tried to search of one using "Hictop Metal Extruder Aluminum Block" though nothing comes up but MK8. They have longer throats 30mm , 40mm and 50mm then you could extend higher into the filament clamp. I straighten the filament a much as possible then push it down seem to work not 1st time every ti...

Re: Marlin 1.1.5

I reverted to the Previous version of Marlin-RC8BF-HICi3 it works Perfectly.

Marlin 1.1.5 using M500 causes CRC errors.

Re: Replacement extruder assembly

This is for your Hictop 3DP-11-ATL correct.
I thought that the "Anycubic All Metal Right Hand MK8 Extruder Aluminum Frame Block DIY Kit for Reprap i3 3D Printer" was compatible.

So I too want the know the answer to this. I was planning on purchasing one for My Hictop 3DP11/12 3D Printer

Re: Marlin 1.1.5

Here is the latest testing results. Raise bed to 100mm and Auto home, after the X and Y Axis home we single tap the Z-Proximity sensor with a metal putty knife simulating the bed. It will detect what it believes is bed rise 10mm then drop down again to what it believes is Z-Axis zero, once more will...
