Re: Hictop Factory Firmware

Yes the Use E1 instead of E0 port Allows you to use the 2nd extruder in lieu of the first extruder.

The Source Code file gives you a un-compiled version of the firmware that you can be modified to your own designs.

Re: My heat brake is leaking ????

I do not have a CR10 Pro, though when my 3D Printer has a leak I fix by what ever needs are required. If this means the the Heat Pipe be replaced I replace the heat pipe, If the Heat block needs replaced replace. At times it may require a replacement of more than one part, this is what is about to h...

Re: Model Fan Duct

Yes. I have again re-designed the Hictop Extruder Duct making it better. Image2.jpg New Hictop extruder duct.stl In order to best print support are requested but not required, as the sloping back gets a little rough. I believe I left the Throat duct too long, simply sanding of cutting to fit was the...

Re: Model Fan Duct

This happens when the parts cooling fan blows on the nozzle / heating block. The duct I designed blows air on the Part to slightly cool and the throat to keep it cool. This upper duct cools the heat sink cooling fins allowing the PTFE tubing inside the throat a longer life. While the lower Parts coo...

Re: Where Do I Start?

It was the center Skeleton Fish. As in the images name. It really floored me. The only model that was fuzzy was when I used Octoprint - Octolapse to record tame lapse. As a person of habit I still print mostly with Cura 15.06.4 with good results simply because it gives the best. Now I have printed w...

Re: Where Do I Start?

This has a tendency of happening from time too time.

Until you get your slicers tuned an saving your configurations will allow this not to happen very often.

Re: Model Fan Duct

This is my Design, Hot End Cooling.jpg You can see I added a 2 fin heat sink over the Throat, after this was done needed to vent air to the heat sink. Re-designing and Reprinting the Duct allowing for the button head screw, now allows it to float horizontal. Also you can see in the image my Proximit...

Re: Prusa I3 Firmware & Drivers

I am 3D Printing with Prusa at this minute to see if it works. After a quick setup sliced the model exported to the SD card and inserted it into my 3DP11/12. Both 3D Printers are now printing a Business card finalraptornormaltail.stl as I can use these for Trick or Treat handouts. The first Model Sl...

Re: Where Do I Start?

The image provided could happen in other ways.

I have had a similar experience when accidentally set the slicer to 3mm when I had 1.75mm filament.

Re: Where Do I Start?

Would I be correct in assuming that the USB has to be configured in order to use Arduino ? On my Hictop 3DP11/12's have never needed to install a USB driver to work with their controller. Only needed to install the Arduino IDE's Is it better to use the SD card over USB for G-Codes when printing ? I...

Re: Problem with surface finish

The lines you are seeing are retrace lines. they can be eliminated by sett Z-Hop under retraction.

Z-Hop raises the nozzle a tiny bit so it does not drag across the surface causing retrace lines.

Re: Where Do I Start?

There is a lot there, although with the information you already have it should not take much more to for you. The firmware is pre-configured for a stock 3DP12 with a SN04-N Proximity Sensor. The settings for Arduino have been shown to you in a previous post. Now you can test compile to check for err...
