Has anyone seen the new Duale?

Hictop released a dual extruder version of the CR-10S called the Duale. I see that the price just dropped significantly (it was $899 last month). My stock sale happens next week, may have to budget for it (I need a 3rd printer anyways, right?).

Re: Config.h for a 3DP-15

I recognize that control panel mod. :P

I did a quick google scan because I remember they had changed one minor thing on the 3DP-17 and relisted it on Amazon as the 3DP-14. It is highly possible that his is also like this, just a rebranded version.

Re: Cura defects in print

Have you tried an earlier version of Cura, see if it is a new issue? I often bounce between versions on Linux (made easy by their complete lack of an installer for Linux - just a runtime image). I have also seen new issues with 3.4.1. For example, my first few layers seem to be created in a concentr...

Re: Triangulatica

I see nothing here to download (download link is recursive to the front page). Also, their $9999 annual subscription pricing is a show stopper for hobbyists.

Re: Cura - Rafts

Ugh, that is such an old version. Why not use Cura 3.4.1 (or at least something far more recent)? There has been major improvements all around.

Re: Cura 3.2.21 stretches X in gcode

Think I am missing something here. I use Cura 3.4.1 (and have used 3.2.1 in the past) to connect to Octoprint with no problem. Are you using Octoprint to do the slicing? If so, that is using a very old CuraEngine (prior to Ultimaker taking over development). Recommend just slicing on PC and sending ...

Finally got to test my new replacement printhead kit

I have been printing fairly well for the last few weeks. Finally had the print bed dialed in so that all I needed was to give it a nice alcohol rub before printing and everything came out great. Until tonight. For some reason, the print I started came loose from the bed, and what was supposed to be ...

Re: It's a bit too quiet in here...how is everyone?

I'm too afraid to print anything, due to the heat.

Re: Noob with tons of questions

Amazon has a few Hictop printers, mostly CR10 series (CR-10 for $439). I also don't recommend the $300 price range, as they can be more of a PITA and a waste of money. For example, when I bought my 3DP-17, I bought my son an M3D (his choice). His printer ran 1/4 speed of mine, and lasted 120 days be...

Re: Noob with tons of questions

I'm surprised LePaul hasn't chimed in yet. He has several different printers (including the Tevo). Personally, I have both the Hictop 3DP-17 and the Hictop CR-10S. I have found Hictop to be a really good company to work with. They replaced my 3DP-17 mainboard no questions asked, and gave me a free p...

Re: Cura 3.4 is out

That seemed to do it, thanks. Still frustrated that I have to reconfigure printers with each release. They haven't quite gotten the old config importer working properly on Linux. It fails randomly. I tried deleting all of the 3.4 settings and restarting multiple times, each time failed something dif...

Re: Cura 3.4 is out

Ugh. First it complained about my pla profiles. Now it won't see my octoprint systems. Printer configs are there, Octoprint plugin is installed (although I don't see any indications for it other than it is listed as installed).

Back to 3.2.1 I guess.

Re: don't succeed to have my model printed

I don't think I have ever seen a print that small on an FDM printer. Maybe a SLA printer.

Re: Creality Cr-10s Help Please

Have you tried reprinting a known good print from your SD card? Have you tried printing from USB? You said your bed doesn't heat up. Have you tried to heat the bed manually from the controller menu (Prepare->Preheat PLA->Preheat PLA Bed)? How does the wiring on the bed look? Do you have the highly r...

Re: Resume 3D print

Likely works similar to Octoprint in that the print is sent from the device to the printer. If you print from SD, some printers can resume directly from their control menu (if enabled in firmware). I have had to resume a print once from Octoprint, and I was able to do so by editing the gcode file, d...
